He lived as the Joker, mentally, not physically, of course. It caused him a lot of anguish.

Noeller Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 My understanding of what happened to Ledger was that he was really messed up from this movie and was having trouble with his sleep. They got him on some meds to help with that and he started taking more and more of them and eventually too much. For anyone that might be interested, the HBO "I Am Heath Ledger" doc on Crave is awesome. Wanna-B-Fanboy 1
