M.O.A.B. Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 I think I'll dream of how good this Defensive Line will be... DE Derrell Johnson - DT Bryant Turner - DT Zach Anderson - DE Jamaal Westerman Noeller and Mike 2
Mike Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 3 year deal you have to be ****ing kidding me. I thought at max they'd get him to commit for two, but to have three years of control is unbelievable. comedygeek, northof60, BRock71 and 4 others 7
17to85 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 You get a Canadian who can be a starter on D and not just a "well he's OK for a Canadian" starter it's worth it. They badly needed a guy like that on defence.
gbill2004 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 @Darren_Cameron: Westerman agreement is for three seasons. #Bombers
M.O.A.B. Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Darren Cameron @Darren_Cameron Westerman agreement is for three seasons. #Bombers Triple-WOW!
gbill2004 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 @WFPEdTait: Will be interesting to see what Westerman can bring for the #Bombers. Hasn't played a real game since 2013.
Jpan85 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 Wonder how long his brothers contract is for
Mike Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Wonder how long his brothers contract is for I was thinking the same but I think it's for two more years
Mr Dee Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 It appears that Walters has Westerman'ed the Argos and BC. Nice. Bigblue204 1
Jpan85 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 Have a feeling this is how Walters walked into the office today Brandon Blue&Gold, sweep the leg, IC Khari and 4 others 7
kelownabomberfan Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Have a feeling this is how Walters walked into the office today That's how I walk into the office every day. But I also don't wear pants while doing it. Westy Sucks 1
TrueBlue Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Adding a Canadian end who presumably can play 35-40 snaps a game is big. Thomas should be able to handle the rest on the interior. Still need Canadian depth on D. I'm not a fan of the assumption that this signing means the Bombers have solidified 3 NI spots on D. We're still one injury at LB or DL from a ratio nightmare. Don't think this signing impacts who the Bombers will draft. I wouldn't call it a nightmare, that's a little extreme don't you think?
M.O.A.B. Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Wonder how long his brothers contract is for I was thinking the same but I think it's for two more years Possible trade? Bombers #1 and rights to Bilukidi (or Mulumba) for Lions #5 and Jabar Westerman?
mbrg Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 I'm gonna spend the rest of the day listening to hair metal. On cassette. Bloody awesome.

mbrg Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Great signing. Passport + NFL Experience. What more could you ask for? IMHO Waud be a good choice as his backup to change the ratio. Rookie Waud and Thomas on their own - not enough to move the ratio. Add Westerman? Now drafting Waud makes sense for this team. Twitter suggesting Bombers will only start one Canadian receiver now. I'd sooner suggest that they will look at an all import secondary. Both of these are good problems to have. Keep coming up with good problems Walters - big thumbs up.

He was a late season addition and hard to say how much attention we gave him at receiver during that time. It's a moot point anyways because my comment was merely tongue in cheek.

Booch Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Could always go the route of 3 import linebacker if we choose to stick with 2 Canadian receivers, especially if we draft one who steps right up in TC, or one of the incumbents lights it up and takes the next step in being a bonafide Canadian starter. Gives us a lot of options certainly and a 4 import receiving core would be sweet,
