kelownabomberfan Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 CFL ✔ @CFL TRADE! The @EdmontonEsks have acquire SB Cory Watson and a 2nd round pick for LS Jorgen Hus and a 3rd rounder. (Both picks 2016) #CFL
sweep the leg Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 So why do they have to add to the trade to be able to get a long snapper for Watson? After they traded a 2nd round pick for him... Is this guy coming from Edmonton supposed to be really good?

Is this guy coming from Edmonton supposed to be really good? He also punts / placekicks the ball after snapping it to himself .. it's a sight to behold. Doublezero 1
Mike Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 This honestly has the makings of being the worst trade I've seen in a long, long time.
JuranBoldenRules Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Increases the probability that the Riders are picking a "skill" guy at 6.
Jimmy Pop Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Increases the probability that the Riders are picking a "skill" guy at 6. Likewise the probability of trading that guy to the Bombers for the rights to Wade Miller's son. Noeller 1
Stickem Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I have to agree with Mike....has Taman regressed to the time he left here and said he was burnt out...lol...Giving up on Watson before he even played a down....what the hell is that...Draft pics and Taman seem not to be a good fit AND we seen plenty of that here...Unless there is something else connected to this trade that we don't know about....wow...this one smells to high heaven..
M.O.A.B. Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 While Taman is still dizzy, maybe we can get their #6 for Bilukidi's or Mulumba's rights.
TBURGESS Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Gave us a 2nd round pick and a NI receiver for Watson and a 3rd round pick then traded him and a 2nd round pick for a 3rd round pick in less deep draft to get a long snapper? I don't usually LOL at Taman like a bunch of you, but what a horrible trade for the Riders. Westy Sucks and saskbluefan 2
mbrg Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Considering what they moved to bring him in and what they brought in to move him out without him ever catching a pass, this does not seem like the finest chapter in Taman's trade bio. ^^^ what Tburg said
gbill2004 Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 This trade makes zero sense. Was Taman drunk when he did this?
M.O.A.B. Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I got a feeling that Edmonton will move Watson again to add more picks. Probably to the Cats or Als for a 3rd or 4th rounder.
Atomic Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 So essentially they turned their 2nd rounders this year and next year into 3rd rounders and traded Bastien for Jorgen Hus.
Mike Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 The irony in all of this? The pick that Edmonton used to take Hus in 2013 was originally Saskatchewan's. And they dealt it in another awful trade (4th rounder + Matt O'Donnell for Greg Carr + 5th rounder) Doublezero 1
Doublezero Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Increases the probability that the Riders are picking a "skill" guy at 6. Or going with an International at SB? Or maybe Watson didn't want to report to Sask's camp? He seemed lukewarm ... probably wanted to go home to Mtl.
Blitzy Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Hahaha this made my day. Also for some reason I have Hus blocked on Twitter?!
M.O.A.B. Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 With the addition of Watson, Edmonton now has 7 National REC - Bailey, Barrett, Chambers, Coehorn, Foster, Jackson and Watson. I think someone has to move unless they are planning to start 3 National REC. Will they trade up (to draft an OL) by giving up their #7, 1 of their REC and a later pick ?

Barrett is a project, Jackson is pretty much toast, Foster sucks and Chambers/Watson are injury concerns. Westy Sucks 1
bearpants Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Wait I'm still trying to wrap my head around this... Sask traded away the better player and the better draft pick?? I think someone already summarized this... but they essentially traded 2015 2nd, 2016 2nd, and Kris Bastien for a 2015 3rd, 2016 3rd and Jurgen Hus... Nothing against Hus, but this doesn't seem like good roster management to me... even if Bastien and Hus are a wash, they traded down in both years... confusing
bearpants Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I immediately just jumped over to riderfans to read the reaction... it's fun Blitzy, Bigblue204, Jimmy Pop and 1 other 4
Bigblue204 Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 This is just another step in the direction the riders where bound to go once they signed Taman.
