Atomic Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 There's generally not that many people watching training camp but opening day brings out thousands of fans. I've never seen a team take their fans for granted as often as the Bombers do. It's such a joke.
wookie Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 u will be able to watch the practice, but u will not be allowed inside the fence, just like when the practiced there before, i do not see them putting up a screen so u can not watch, just no stands to sit in to watch,
Mr Dee Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Fwiw, WBB FC has since deleted their tweet to me, so here's hoping that they receive some serious backlash and make other arrangements... Social media to the rescue! I'd imagine if enough email, tweets and phone calls hit the service lines they will figure out a way to make it work.. Don't worry, Gbill's already on it. (And that's a good thing) SPuDS 1
Mike Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 They just tweeted me that it will be "open to the public but in a different way than previous years" Noeller and SPuDS 2
Mike Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Imagine if they live streamed it. Harbaugh and SPuDS 2
Mike Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 would be ultra lame... There are positives and negatives to that, to be honest. I'd love it, personally - provided the stream was actually done properly. But I can see why a lot of people wouldn't.
Mike Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 "we'll give details on access for fans that plan on attending in the coming days" So basically, sounds like they're not quite sure yet. Noeller and SPuDS 2
Taynted_Fayth Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 TWhat did they do with the temp seating bleachers - ones used in south end zone for the gc yrs ago at canad inns stadium? That wouldnt take much to erect with a group of ppl

I'd love it, personally - provided the stream was actually done properly. But I can see why a lot of people wouldn't. I'd like it to. I go to max one TC practice a year, so I'd probably see more of it with a live stream.
kelownabomberfan Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Live stream sounds great to me! Just make sure that it's Pied Piper doing the live stream and not those bums at Hooli... blitzmore 1
kelownabomberfan Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Wpg Blue Bombers ✔ @Wpg_BlueBombers @MorningBigBlue we'll give details on access for fans that plan on attending in the coming days, stay tuned!
Jpan85 Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 Looking at it on google maps there is not much room to put stand up. The only bleachers there face the soccer field. If they put bleachers would only be room by the endzones.
gbill2004 Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 I was allowed inside the chain linked fence last year and it was a non-issue. There was maybe a dozen fans watching and the same number of media. Not sure why they couldn't do the same this year. There's lots of space on the side to either stand or set up lawn chairs.

Taynted_Fayth Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 If rooms an issue then yea move the location, rods field in st james works as does a number of other football fields. On a nice day of main camp n its more scrimmage then drills ur only looking at 100-200 ppl there. Ill be interested to hear the womens fifa #s see if it was worth it there and not maybe the indoor soccer complex on kenaston

Bomber Diehard Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 I recall going to St John's Ravenscourt and sitting on the hill to watch. Jim Spavitol the coach with a really small RB trying out for the Bombers. We all said he will get killed....Mack Herron proved us wrong. the watcher 1

mbrg Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 While I think keeping the fans out is never a good idea, I also probably won't go to any even if it's opened up. Of course if I allocate all the time I spend here into going over there, it doesn't sound like as much of a time glutton.

No chance an event of this magnitude is held at the soccer complex.
Goalie Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Those soccer games are pretty much sold out already
Jpan85 Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 The first two days are but the second two when the Americans don't play are no where near sold out.
Blitzy Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Live stream sounds great to me! Just make sure that it's Pied Piper doing the live stream and not those bums at Hooli... Hahah Live Stream would be great for us stuck at work all day..
