Doublezero Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Don't know if these are etched in stone but Bombers have assigned numbers to some of the rookies and some vets have different sweater numbers this year. Stoudermire has gone from #15 to #1 for example. Jamaal Westerman is #55, Jordan Yantz is #18, Sukh Chungh is #69. If Addison Richards and Garrett Waggoner are signed to contracts, guess Waggoner could be #11, which appears to be open. Wow, lot of bodies on this roster: http://www.bluebombers.com/roster/index/team/5
Fred C Dobbs Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 guess Waggoner could be #11, which appears to be open. Not a chance. When was the last time you saw someone wear #11?
Tracker Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Wouldn't it be neat of we had more than the minimum number of starting Canucks in games? It has happened on other teams before, but often.
Noeller Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 As if someone suggested #11...."apparently it's open".... Eesh.

Wow, lot of bodies on this roster: http://www.bluebombers.com/roster/index/team/5 I understand that they did tests and found that etching the numbers in stone took too long a time and seriously slowed players down. On the plus side, when someone wearing a number etched in stone manages to hit someone, they stay hit. B-F-F-C, Doublezero, Noeller and 1 other 4

BBlink Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Would be interesting to know if players have worn #6 or #11 in training camp? retro 1

retro Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Would be interesting to know if players have worn #6 or #11 in training camp? Yes, pretty much every year. BBlink 1
johnzo Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Josh Portis had #6 all last year, and I think he wore it when he was gameday rostered. holoman 1
Doublezero Posted May 22, 2015 Author Report Posted May 22, 2015 Geez, how could I forget about Ken Ploen? But has that number been retired forever? Who else wore #1 besides Blink?
Noeller Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 They don't officially retire any numbers, I don't think, but a bunch have been unofficially retired...97, 85, 06, 11, 63.......
basslicker Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 As if someone suggested #11...."apparently it's open".... Eesh. How long is long enough? I guess 50 years isn't long enough.either retire it or use it I say.

Doublezero Posted May 22, 2015 Author Report Posted May 22, 2015 Now that I think of it, Kito Poblah had #1 after Charles Roberts. BBlink 1
Mike Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Now that I think of it, Kito Poblah had #1 after Charles Roberts. Charles Roberts isn't even the last Roberts to wear number 1 for the Bombers. Michael Roberts wore it for a game during the season after Blink left.
kelownabomberfan Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Now that I think of it, Kito Poblah had #1 after Charles Roberts. And so that's what happened, #1 is forever cursed now.
BBlink Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 After Ike Charlton wore #0 I didnt know who could possibly do justice to that number ever again
wbbfan Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 After Ike Charlton wore #0 I didnt know who could possibly do justice to that number ever again lol. Has any one worn harold nashs' 00 since he left? Loved that number, hell of a player too.
