FrostyWinnipeg Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 Be cheering on the Lightning. They only got 1 cup.
kelownabomberfan Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 Good to see Anaheim go down. Ducky and Jpan85 2
FrostyWinnipeg Posted May 31, 2015 Author Report Posted May 31, 2015 Good to see Anaheim go down. I wanted them to win and to win the cup. That way we could say we lost to the eventual champs. Feels better. Just like the 80's! basslicker, kelownabomberfan, HardCoreBlue and 1 other 4
iHeart Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 only four to seven games until the season is done, whoever wins will win, Sure Edmonton is picking first, but judging by what I saw on the FotWJ page it looks like Jets'll be picking twice in round one (kind of think that's a little luckier). I want Chicago to win because it's better than nothing, but at the same time, the Bolts should win because well, since this decade started the cup has either gone to the BH's or the Kings (or in that one unfortunate occasion, the Bruins) it would be nice to see someone different take the cup home, even if it's the team I don't want to see win. Just like the 80's! yeah I was hoping for the ducks for the same reason. their goalie let them down. nice to see my 2 hockey chatroom friends posting…
Atomic Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 I'd love to see Stamkos win a cup... you know he's going to win one eventually, maybe this is the year. Chicago might just be too damn good though.

Chicago might just be too damn good though. I was wrong about that St. Louis trade. Worked out well for both. NYR last year and Lightning this year. With Chicago going to finals again that Oduya trade just gets better n better.
Mark F Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 Toews and Cindy Klassen must be the two greatest athletes to come out of Manitoba. She's historic in the world in her sport, and he's getting there.
Noeller Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 2 Cups, 1 Conn Smythe, 2 Oly Golds, 1 Oly MVP, Multiple All-Star nods........only thing missing is the long overdue Hart Trophy.... Goalie, bigg jay and Mark F 3

Jpan85 Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I'll take Terry Sawchuck as the best NHLer from Manitoba. FrostyWinnipeg 1

Brandon Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 The best hockey guy from Manitoba! Mark F and Atomic 2
Atomic Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I'm Ed Belfour and this is Fightin' Round the World!!
Noeller Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 What's that Tugga?! You wanna he-ah me sing one of me songs??!
Goalie Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Sawchuk was Def one of the best. Very good goalie. Belfour probably not as good as Terry was but I think Toews may be the best hockey player from manitoba and I'm not sure it's that close even. Billy Mosienko is another. Bob Clarke too. Sawchuk was good but Toews is just a beast. Good in both ends. Mr Clutch really. The guys a Damn good player. Here's where it gets tricky for me. Theoren Fleury.. manitoban or not? If so. I think pound for pound he's the best
FrostyWinnipeg Posted June 4, 2015 Author Report Posted June 4, 2015 Don;t like comparing generations so that's my answer. Tampa looked good tonight until all 4 wheels fell off the wagon.
Mark F Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I thought Fleury was from a town in Mb near sask border, out the Yellow head route. they have a "home of Theorien Fleury"sign there.
iHeart Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Hawks take it in game one I heard about the Bolt's arena's policy, and it's kind of dumb not accepting out of state credit cards, considering that playoffs are one of the big things that put more butts in seats?
Noeller Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Fleury calls both Russell, MB and Esterhazy, SK home......spent time in both, growing up... Mark F 1
