retro Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Just got my tickets for the game in Regina! Can't make it to Labour Day this year so this is the next best thing! Anybody else going? Lots of tickets left on ticketmaster.
kelownabomberfan Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Anybody else going? Lots of tickets left on ticketmaster. How is that possible? This is Canada's team!
mbrg Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 How can there be lots of tickets left? Rider fans are the best fans in the CFL. That's Canada's team right there. Not a bad idea for a Bomber road trip at all, unfortunately any Bomber road trip money has already been spent on the July 18th game at McMahon.
Jpan85 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I got tickets for both most likely going to the opener.
Westy Sucks Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Never going to Regina for a game again! Something stupid always happens...those cow lovers suck! Always fun but not worth it anymore. I shouldn't say never I guess as I do plan to attend a LDC once their new stadium is built. wbbfan 1
kelownabomberfan Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 The last season opener in Regina was in 2005 I believe, and the game was delayed due to some cataclysmic downpour. Then the Riders took the opening kick-off back for a TD. First play of the season. It was all downhill from there. What a crappy season that was. ALuCsRED and wbbfan 2

gbill2004 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I'm going to both. I've got 4 corner end zone tickets for the LDC if anyone is interested please pm me.

Corey Holmes ... he was out partying the night before and some posters at OB bumped into him and tried to get him absolutely loaded - said he staggered out of there in a state that had them convinced he'd be a bust in the game. First play up, daggers us with a TD return.
kelownabomberfan Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 2005 ... Jim Daley ... Enough said. Our defence that year made Etcheverry look like Tom Landry.
Noeller Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 When Holmes ran that opening kick off back, I was sitting on a couch in Dauphin, and I remember saying "Well, this is going to be our season..."

At least you were in Dauphin, living the dream, so it couldn't have been all bad. Westy Sucks 1
holoman Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Worst secondary in the history of the league To be honest, when Rod Rust was running things, the Defense wasn't half bad. It was when he left that $%&* hit the fan

It was when he left that $%&* hit the fan I remember Doug Brown saying something like the defence just called cover 0 on every play because no one knew what to do, and they had no coach.

I don't care what anyone says .. that Daley coached team was the biggest train wreck we've had in Winnipeg in recent memory .. kelownabomberfan 1

Noeller Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I'd put Mike Kelly right in the middle of that. Despite the record, the damage that guy did to our roster depth and the organizational reputation was gargantuan....

17to85 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I still say Tim Burke was the worst head coach this team has ever had. Tracker and Blue-urns 2
johnzo Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 We gave up an opening-kickoff TD in 2010 too, but we destroyed the Ticats anyway. Buck Pierce played like Matt Dunigan. Philip Hunt was in Kevin Glenn's business all day. Terrence Edwards was unstoppable deep. Lapo and Mack looked like they were starting a new dynasty. Good times, briefly. Judd 1
