IC Khari Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Tough break for both QB's but we've had our share of those and it's the Riders turn. Is it possible Durant may have had enough and will retire after this?
gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Doubt it. Usually takes at least a day for swelling to go downSo all this ACL talk is just speculation. Watching the replay of Reilly go down it looked like a knee. And more than a sprain. But there is no confirmation of a ligament tear.I was at the Rider game so haven't seen Reilley's injury yet, but the way you describe it, sounds like a bad sprain and not an ACL.
Geebrr Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 Sounds like we may have an asset to dangle out there. ....AND IF we are holding all the cards...I want a damn good football player plus coming back our way...Just remember back when we were in deep do-do and nobody would even lift the receiver....tough game this game of football. Yup!

Nobody is giving a "damng good football player" for Marve or Portis. Maybe we move one of them, but let's not make the mistake of overvaluing our own third stringers.
B-F-F-C Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Other than Drew Tate. I don't think there's another 2nd string QB in the league better than Glenn. I would have no problem riding out the rest of the season with him. Blue-urns 1
gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 There's no way we're trading a QB to Sask or Edmonton. Why would we help a Western team in season? Riders can go scrape Sunseri up off the street and they'll be fine.

Then if nobody is willing to give anything...they can bloody well swing in the breeze...Bombers are not a charitable organization...something Mr. Popp in Montreal was fond of saying about his organization...take the que.
Goalie Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 I hope we keep all our qbs cuz reality is willy is one injury away. Could see argos moving ray tho if Harris keeps doing what he did today
Geebrr Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 I can't see Ray being moved till the off season if it happens
Jpan85 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Nobody cried for us when we had QB go down like flies too bad for the Riders but no sympathy from me Y2C 1
Jacquie Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 For those who haven't seen it, the replays start at the 40 second mark: http://www.tsn.ca/eskimos-reilly-leaves-stadium-on-crutches-1.320067 Lebevre is out for prob 4 to 6 weeks. According to Naylor, LeFevour is having surgery on his shoulder and will likely miss most (if not all) of the season.

We once gave up a first rounder for Spregon Wynn. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see Ray go back to Edmonton.
Brandon Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 I don't feel sorry one bit for the rider fans or Durant. Both the fans and him lack class and lets see how Glenn can handle the pressure this season! FrostyWinnipeg 1
Dragon37 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Durant got a huge dose of Karma last night. In the pre-game huddle he was saying that the Bombers didn't belong the same field. (Just watch the game recap video on TSN)
gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Durant got a huge dose of Karma last night. In the pre-game huddle he was saying that the Bombers didn't belong the same field. (Just watch the game recap video on TSN)I saw that too. What most people didn't see, because I doubt it was on TV, was at the game during player intros, there was a sort of stage area for the players to stand on the field. The rest of the Bombers were doing as they should and watching from their sideline, but Dom Picard was marching around on the field just inside their stage area on the field. Small thing but it looked like he was trying to show the Riders a little disrespect. I loved it!
gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Did it ever get quiet at Mosaic when Durant went down. basslicker 1
Mark F Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 The Eskimo offensive line looked porous. It was bad last year, and it looks like they didn't do much to improve it. Doesn't matter who their quarterback is, with a line like that. it's been a long time since the Bombers had a really smooth offence like this one. Surprising to see all the parts meshing so well, with such a small amount of practice time. It's so good to see the team take the ball and shove it down the field to win the game at the end.

gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 So the Riders are paying Durant $1 million over two years to play a total of 10 games. At least they get cap relief of $500,000 this season with Durant out for the season.
Fraser Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 If we know taman, Durant got a lot of coin up front
gbill2004 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 If we know taman, Durant got a lot of coin up frontThat's a good point. Can't hide a signing bonus on the IR for cap purposes.
