Jacquie Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Drew Edwards @scratchingpost 8h8 hours ago #Argos sign another former #TIcats Canadian WR: former first overall pick Chris Bauman. #CFL
IC Khari Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Interesting ... Argos are doing a pretty good recycling job so far this season. Bauman may do OK in that system.
Floyd Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Bauman with another chance... wow. Think I'd sign Etienne first.

Jacquie Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 From the Stamps website: When Karen DeMarsh heard the winning 50/50 numbers announced during Friday’s Stamps game, she was a little indisposed. “I was in the washroom when they called the number,” she told the Sun. “I pulled the ticket out of my bra, and texted my husband immediately and said ‘I think we just won it!’ ” Taking home $193,325 in the Calgary Stampeders’ largest ever 50/50 draw, the DeMarshs’ win couldn’t have come at a better time. “My sons and I were in a car accident three week ago,” she said, barely able to hold back her tears. “The car was written off, so we’re going to replace the car.” As well, the family was forced to declare bankruptcy after finding themselves forced out of work three years ago. “This will help pay off some of that debt,” she said. She also plans on taking their children on a much-needed vacation. “We’ve made do over the past three years , we’ve done the best we can,” she said. “Our three children are thriving, and that’s all that matters to us.” http://www.stampeders.com/article/nifty-5050 Al Bundy, johnzo and Logan007 3

Tracker Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Who'da thunk that the Riders would be so desperate and McCallum would such have such low standards.

I thought Alberta was the land of plenty...yikes. Feel good story though, glad this family won the prize. Also glad that they can still make it to Stamps games and support the CFL, despite their personal hard-ships. Die-hard CFL fans!

For the past four years, Alberta (and southern Alberta in particular) has had the highest personal debts and personal bankruptcies in Canada. Good on this family- they sound that they really, really needed the money.
gbill2004 Posted July 4, 2015 Author Report Posted July 4, 2015 @HomeOfTheFans: Shea Emry is listed in the 6 game injured list. #riders #cfl
Rich Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 Rakeem Cato story with #Riders is he didn't show for mini-camp, requested his tender, team and player have 10 days to agree to terms... 1/2 — Jamie Nye (@jamienye) July 4, 2015 Cato wouldnt agree to terms so he became a free agent so to speak and Montreal signs him. Very rare a player goes that route. 2/2 — Jamie Nye (@jamienye) July 4, 2015
gbill2004 Posted July 4, 2015 Author Report Posted July 4, 2015 @jamienye: #Riders place Durant, Emry, MacDougall, Green on 6-game, Demski, Miller to 1-game; T Clark, Norman, Agbaje, White to PR
rebusrankin Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 The Riders have a lot of NI talent hurt. Hard to overcome.
gbill2004 Posted July 6, 2015 Author Report Posted July 6, 2015 From TMZ: Michael Sam's Montreal Alouettes teammates are sick and tired of the drama surrounding the defensive end ... with one player telling TMZ Sports, "He's not my favorite teammate right now." Multiple sources tell us ... the players are viewing Sam as a "distraction" -- but nobody wants to say it out loud because they're afraid of a possible public backlash for criticizing him. But inside the Alouttes organization ... frustration is building -- especially with Sam recently leaving the team for 2 weeks on mysterious personal business. We're told by multiple sources that people WANT to like Sam -- and really do want to see him succeed -- but feel he's still not 100% focused on football. "He needs to leave his personal life off the field and just play football like he really wants it," one player tells us. "Hopefully he can turn it around and commit to the game because he really does have potential."
kelownabomberfan Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 Watching "Ballers" on HBO tonight...show about the NFL...first CFL reference was on tonight's show: "he's going to finish his career in Saskatchewan. Have you ever been to Saskatchewan? It ******* blows". Hee hee! And why the hell was the game today not on TSN1? I ended up recording some shitty basketball game instead of the Argo-Rider game.

Have to agree with you Kelowna...they treat the CFL like a 'throw away whatever'...If they keep relegating us to the poker game status, I think this league has to review how the hell we are being 'viewed'...Seems to me we're seen as 'back of the bus' types...Pure and simple bull$hit.
