Goalie Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 5-0 loss for the blue birds today. only 3.5 up. Don't think theres any doubt the jays make the playoffs, but not convinced they win the AL EAST.

Don't think theres any doubt the jays make the playoffs, but not convinced they win the AL EAST. That's actually a pretty big lead in baseball at this time of year. The Jays play in Atlanta next and host the Yankees again. Thinking that will decide the East.
Noeller Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Looks like they lost Tulo for a few weeks, too.......hasn't been a hot bad, per se, but his D is tough to replace. Hopefully they can just keep winning series. Don't need to sweep everyone, but 2/3 or 3/4 and you're gonna be alright.
Rich Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 The Blue Jays' magic number in the East drops to 3 after a comeback 4-3 win over the Orioles. http://t.co/VYNlHaEsUT pic.twitter.com/zk52xjM61S — SportsCentre (@SportsCentre) September 29, 2015
Jacquie Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 It's down to 2 now because the Yankees lost to the Red Sox tonight. I was a huge Blue Jays fan years ago but after about the 150th work stoppage I gave up on MLB. Now I do hope they do well but I hate Rogers more than I like the Blue Jays.
Noeller Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 As a fan of all things Canadiana, I'm just excited for the entire country to get behind something. Was raised a baseball fan by a Jays-loving father, and will always be one. Passive during the lean times, sure, but following every single game this season... SPuDS 1
Jpan85 Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Its funny as a kid we got a American satellite dish and the only team that I could see in a regular basis was the Cubs back then WGN had almost every game on TV.. With the majority of the games being on during the afternoon just summer break I became a fan of the Cubs. We got very few Jays games back then on the over the air TV.
Rich Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Jays clinch a playoff spot. Congratulations to the Toronto @BlueJays who have won the 2015 #ALEast Division title. pic.twitter.com/5uPGLLvFWE — TSN (@TSN_Sports) September 30, 2015 SPuDS 1
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Jays clinch a playoff spot. They clinched it a couple of days ago but they clinched East title today. Hard to believe everyone in the AL had made the playoffs except them in 21(?) years. SPuDS 1
Noeller Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Rogers never let them spend the money before this year. They opened the piggy bank, and voila....competitive team. SPuDS 1
JuranBoldenRules Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Rogers never let them spend the money before this year. They opened the piggy bank, and voila....competitive team. Payroll is lower this season than the two before, right at MLB average. Nice of MLB to schedule the Jays ALDS home games during weekday afternoons so nobody can watch.

Nobody cares about the Blue Jays in the States, ratings in Canada mean nothing to american broadcasters
Jpan85 Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 You are going to have teams in the New York LA and Chicago markets they rightly get the prime time games.
Taynted_Fayth Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 I was joking with my dad last night watching classic mlb featuring the back to back philly games they came back to win 15-14 & 7-6, that what kinda horror that woulda been if the jays and expos faced each other the next year prior to the lock out, as having 2 canadian teams in americas passtime championship game would likely not have great US ratings, in fact probably very low viewership near all time lows. The gates would be jammed packed but other then transplanted canadians down south its tough to get americans cheering anyting canadian in any sport. Dicks lol
Taynted_Fayth Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 I argue tho the impression mlb broadcasters and fans of baseball in general have with a hot blue jays team. The rogers center has been sold out and playoff electric for months. Away games are loaded with jays fans in otherwise graveyard stands and you cant ignore the ratings the jays/yankee series got after the all star break. With an entire country backing the jays like they have its yankee like in support. Very few teams even when top of standings can do that. Id say maybe yankees, red sox and dodgers would be the select few but thats because those teams are like religions

What is this about it being scheduled in the afternoon? They haven't even determined the time.

Noeller Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 Who's sucking? They're just getting outplayed right now...
The Unknown Poster Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 I hope they get swept so everyone can stop pretending they've always been Jays' fans Just kidding. Sort of.
IC Khari Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Ya they are not sucking, the results are though ...
