gbill2004 Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 On the CJOB post game show, Bob Irving asked O'Shea who would start next week if Willy is out. O'Shea said "I don't know". In the past, O'Shea always said "Brian Brohm is our backup QB". Sounds like Marve has a shot at starting next week if Willy is out.
do or die Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Why not? Brohm did nothing yet again....
DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Might as well let Marve run around for his life at least he is less of a sitting duck back there.
kelownabomberfan Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Start Brohm and have 5,000 people show up to the game against the Argos on Friday. At least the Argos will be happy, as they will feel right at home.
Fatty Liver Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Imo the more Marve adapts his play to Marcel's system the more he will resemble Brohm in ineptitude. If the Bombers have to fire Marcel and O'Shea to get Condell on board for next year, it would be well worth it. DR. CFL 1

DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Co dell is in fact an extension of Austin. Two offensive minded coaches working in concert to design, develop and execute an offensive game plan. Isn't that a refreshing idea? Blue-urns, bustamente, Fatty Liver and 2 others 5
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 We can have the best coaches in the world but until we get the talent to go with it then it won't mean anything. Goalie 1
DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 So who takes the blame for the lack of talent?
bearpants Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 CJOB's Kelly Moore speculating this morning that it will be Marve if Willy isn't ready to go...
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 So who takes the blame for the lack of talent? Walters. He's the GM so it falls on him. DR. CFL 1
Arnold_Palmer Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 CJOB's Kelly Moore speculating this morning that it will be Marve if Willy isn't ready to go... Good! i'm taking my girl friend to her first game next week. I don't want to waste money if Brohm's under center. If Willy can't go it's time to give Marve the controls.

Good! i'm taking my girl friend to her first game next week. I don't want to waste money if Brohm's under center. If Willy can't go it's time to give Marve the controls. First impression last. First time I brought my daughter to the game (vs Cgy when Elliott was injured) the Bombers lost and it didn't help to have her interested to the Bombers. Same thing, when I brought my wife on a rainy game when the Als are in town (then in the old arena), the Bombers lost too and same thing she never get interested in the game and the Bombers since then. The rain didn't help either.

I think she's more excited to finally go to the game then i am! Hopefully a better team performance than Sunday.
KptKrunch Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Doesn't matter if it's Marve or Brohm - no Willy = no chance IMO

Now you owe her and it will be something like sitting through "The Notebook" or a "Hot in Cleveland" marathon. Or dinner with her family. Or self-immolation.
Mr Dee Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Doesn't matter if it's Marve or Brohm - no Willy = no chance IMO This is where we separate the real from the unreal, the bold from the meek, the runner from the gunner...let's face it...we're in deep trouble. No matter where you stand on the badup QBs, both sides are going to be proved right.
17to85 Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Honestly a game of Marve probably gives them a chance, at least he can use his legs to break things down and maybe fluke out a few big plays. In the long term it's not a good option but short term sure why not? DR. CFL and Chaosmonkey 2
gbill2004 Posted August 10, 2015 Author Report Posted August 10, 2015 Marve starting gets me excited. Brohm starting makes me want go into a deep depression. Blueandgold and bearpants 2
Fatty Liver Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 Marve starting gets me excited. Brohm starting makes me want go into a deep depression. It looks promising for Marve, at least O'Shea broke form last game in replacing Brohm before injury fell him. That's a first.
DR. CFL Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 Desperate times means time to roll with the other guy.
gbill2004 Posted August 11, 2015 Author Report Posted August 11, 2015 My money is on Marve starting this week.

Blueandgold Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 I'm not sure that I even want to waste my time coming out to watch Brian Brohm play.
