jcoej Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I spoke to him and there is no injury... stop with the speculation!

Atomic Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I spoke to him and there is no injury... stop with the speculation! During training camp you said you didn't know him, you're just a long time fan. Now you speak regularly? Or he just gave you his number so you can ask about injuries? bigg jay 1
jcoej Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 After listening to all the speculation on Veltung's injury I thought I would fill you in with the truth... but oh no lets get critical and nasty. This is my last conversation with all you gentleman. May our Lord and saviour richly bless you!

gbill2004 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Could be a thing with J-Homo having good chemistry with Marve, with both practicing more together as backups. J-Homo is probably a better option to stretch the defense, compared to Veltung. Veltung seems like more of a slot guy, and less of a burner. SPuDS 1

Moore was out and the backup slot is Veltung. Adams is out and the backup WR is Gordon. Soblem Prolved. SPuDS 1

jcoej Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 40 Times / NFL Pro Day Results: 8. Bastien - 4.74 7. Julian-Gudino - 4.72 6. Moore - 4.63 5. Gordon - 4.62 4.Stoudemire - 4.52 3. Veltung - 4.46 2. Denmark - 4.37 1. Kohlert - 4.31
SPuDS Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I tend to laugh at that thought too.. Almost like stoddard running a 4.90
FrostyWinnipeg Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Kohlert(like Stoddard before him) catches most what is thrown at him. No knocking. If anything more passes to Kohlert please. Mr Dee 1

Mr.K Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Who to cheer for? Double blue or double blue? Ummmmmm.....double blue and Blue and Gold.......lol
Captain Blue Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I feel bad for Marve. Talk radio has laughably high expectations. Dude's gonna have to throw for 300 and run for another 100 at this point. Bigblue204 1
Bigblue204 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Yup, all I want from him is no turn overs and stay healthy. I think our D matches up fairly well with TO.

Gotta agree with this here, expectations on talk radio is sky high, setting him up to fail but i think for the most part the average fan and even the hardcore fan on this site here just hopes he manages the game well, doesn't have to put up huge numbers, just protect the ball and give the team a chance. Talk radio is just that... talk, i guess when you think about it, talk radio is kind of, well, they have so much air time to fill and only so many things to talk about really.
bustamente Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Let's not jump on Marve if he stumbles a bit, give him every chance to succeed let him run the offence for the whole game and at the end of the game hopefully a win for the Big Blue.
Tracker Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Ironically enough, the arms of Marve and/or Harris will probably decide the game tomight. Harris is the most effective passer in the league at the moment, and Toronto will try to keep Marve in the pocket and force himto try to beat them with his passing as opposed to his run and/or throw approach. If we cannot get pressure on Harris (and his O-line is not great), its going to be a long evening for the secondary.
Fatty Liver Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 On the Pre-game show Irving just said that Marve had less than 1/2 hour to practice this week and he only threw about 5 passes. Does not bode well.

Goalie Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Meh, It's practice... Let's see what happens when the bullets fly for real... Honestly, i'm not overly concerned about the lack of practice reps. If anything, it's a built in excuse if he struggles.
