Mark F Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 if he's as good as some of you say, defence will go from good and getting better, to "kick ass" I hope to see him play, and deliver some Hamilton and Edmonton style hits. good reporting gbill2004.
LeBird Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I like what we didn't have to give up to get him. Yes dear, there is a Santa Claus.
Noeller Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 God I hope that Sask diss is true.... Blue-urns 1
Stickem Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Positive move and I hope it works out well for us and Simmons....We need a heavy hitter and I hope he brings it like Wild did...That will keep the opposition on their toes...Like it..
iso_55 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I like what we didn't have to give up to get him. Yes dear, there is a Santa Claus. So much for Desjardins having a master plan to get him back.
Fred C Dobbs Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 In spite of his size (6'1", 223 lbs) he's a former safety and played outside linebacker last year for Ottawa. I wonder where the Bombers will use him.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for this agent's conversations with Kuale...
mbrg Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I like what we didn't have to give up to get him. Yes dear, there is a Santa Claus. So much for Desjardins having a master plan to get him back. Desjardins has a master plan to get a snack. The football stuff, that will all fall into place on it's own.
Mr Dee Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 The sooner we sign Simmons..the sooner we can put this matter...to bed. billfrank, Mark F and Blue-urns 3
Geebrr Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 The Calgary media is so in the pocket of the local teams, it is just hilarious. And adorable. Noeller 1
M.O.A.B. Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 It will be sweet to see Simmons sack Mitchell and get a wicked tackle to McDaniel.

James Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Simmons bass and Randle would be a pretty crazy good group of backers... Now to regularly start Collins and Gibson on the DL and our defence will be dominant
IC Khari Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 When Taman heard Jasper had signed with us he quickly went after Al Simmons to show the Rider faithful he wasn't content with their record ... Mark F and Floyd 2
GCn20 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I think the Bombers will use Simmons as a rotational/platoon player. Doubt he displaces Hurl in most situations. Everyone is thinking he is a Mike, in Ottawa last year he played primarily WIL.
GCn20 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Simmons can play WIL and MAC correct? I'd assume he gets DIed to start and plays some snaps at MAC replacing Hurl and some at WIL replacing Bass. Full workload on teams. I'd suggest you are probably right. They will probably use him in a rotation to keep everyone fresh.
BBlink Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Get better one player at a time. Noeller and Blue-urns 2
Logan007 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I just saw Al Simmons not too long ago at the Anola Community center putting on a show for the kids. He's still awesome. Yes Spuds, more pointless information from LOGAN! SPuDS, Mark F and HardCoreBlue 3
bearpants Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Apparently the Riders offered Simmons more money, but he prefers the situation in Winnipeg. This sounds like a fan-created rumour... but it would be amazing if it's true... I'm happy Simmons signed with the Bombers. I just hope he comes in & plays hard & isn't a headcase or that his agent doesn't turn out to be difficult to deal with. He needs to get off twitter... or at least make his fan interaction more about his play and not his complaints... iso_55 1
Westy Sucks Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Good pick up. hopefully he'll help us.
Mark F Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 one recent former Bomber linebacker is on an NFL team, and doing well. another has a good chance to make the Steelers this year. This guy is a linebacker/db. why not come here. this is a route to NFL.

Yes Spuds, more pointless information from LOGAN! whoa hey guy. i like your useless banter. its excellent day filler lol. where did i suggest contrary to that cuz.. it was in jest if i said it.. i swears it.
