M.O.A.B. Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 O’Shea also said Offensive Lineman Jace Daniels has been lost for the remainder of the season after the right tackle broke his ankle during Friday’s loss http://www.cjob.com/2015/08/18/oshea-not-ready-to-give-marve-the-thumbs-to-start-against-the-stamps/ StudentSection 1
Noeller Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 **** around....wonder who's next up at RT.....
Mike Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I hope they give Corey Lewis a shot, not Devin Tyler. Goalie, Blue-urns, Brandon Blue&Gold and 4 others 7
mbrg Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 "Well that guy has a broken leg." - mbrg to mrs. mbrg, August 14, 2015. That sucks.
Goalie Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 And in other news.. O'shea says he don't know who will start the next game at QB
bearpants Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Do they believe Greaves has a legitimate shot at becoming a RT or is he purely an emergency filler? My first choice would be to see what Lewis can do... but I'd also be interested to see if we have a NI Greaves/Neufeld that can actually play RT...
AKAChip Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 This is a loss. Daniels is probably the best RT we've had in awhile as sad as that is. Not super high on Lewis but he should be infinitely better than Tyler who has had 10 more shots in this league than he's deserved. We all know it will be Tyler though...
bearpants Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 "Well that guy has a broken leg." - mbrg to mrs. mbrg, August 14, 2015. That sucks. "he's probably just cramping up, those big guys lose a lot of water on these hot nights" - Dr Bearpant's professional opinion August 14, 2015... from his viewpoint in section 203...
M.O.A.B. Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 I hope they give Corey Lewis a shot, not Devin Tyler. I hope too. Is Tyler healthy? I believe he is in the 6-weeks IR.
Atomic Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Neufeld and Tyler are both hurt. Options are Corey Lewis, who is probably the number one option, or I guess Greaves with Goossen at guard but then you have Griffiths one injury away from starting. That's too bad, Daniels was definitely our best option there.
M.O.A.B. Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 Let's see Lewis for now but... I wouldn't mind Greaves too if he can really play that position well. Move Goossen to the LG and re-sign Morley as the #6 OL. I wouldn't mind re-signing January for the RT spot too.

Mr Dee Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Seems to me those on the PR are there for a reason..to learn, and become better for the position they were brought for. That should mean Corey Lewis has to step up and show us what he's got. Otherwise, why the f would he be here for so long and not be a capable substitution? BomberBall 1
The Unknown Poster Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 And in other news.. O'shea says he don't know who will start the next game at QB Then he's the only person in Manitoba that doesnt know who *should* start at least, barring a miracle recovery by Willy. Blue-urns and bb1 2
Tracker Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Greaves, who is supposed to be a natural RG should be given a shot with the understanding that this is probably his last shot at being a starter. Still, it all comes down to protecting the quarterback, and I am disappointed to hear that O'Shea may be considering starting Brohm next game. The caveat is that if Marve was upchucking last game because he was hung over, that changes everything, but I would want some significant proof of that before believing it. If this is true, then it would mean that our first three choices at QB are all unfit for duty and that would set off all kinds of alarm bells. Floyd 1
rebusrankin Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 1. That hurts, Daniels being out. 2. Hopefully its Lewis next. 3. We need to bring in another Tackle asap. 4. How can you even consider playing Brohm? Does MOS want to be canned? bb1 1

AKAChip Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I believe it was said in jest at one point. Wicked hangover lasting till 9 pm the next night.
TBURGESS Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 That's a big blow. Jace was the best RT we had by a long shot IMO. I cringed when Tyler was put in for good reason. rebusrankin 1
BomberBall Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I can't see any way that Marve doesn't start against Calgary. MOS is probably just trying to keep them both on their toes and competing in practice. SPuDS 1
Floyd Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I would try Greaves but get an American in the interior... pretty tight turnaround though, Corey Lewis' highlight reel seems to be full of plays that should be penalties... Daniels was getting turnstyled in the second half, honestly don't see how Greaves can be worse. Bryant-Goossen/Chungh-Picard-Import-Greaves Just make sure you have extra blocking FB/RBs out there on the right side...
Floyd Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Or.... cough cough hack... we bring back Morley as RG and Greaves at RT... just sayin
