M.O.A.B. Posted September 8, 2015 Author Report Posted September 8, 2015 Would BC consider Picard/Greaves(preferably Greaves) for Westerman straight up? Tell defalted guy to call up Buono and ask if he likes that trade proposal. SPuDS 1
Tracker Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 I hope the Bombers will also try to get Brett Jones or Matt O'Donnell.... then trade Picard or Greaves after. Jones is a goner, but we might have a shot at O'Donnell.
James Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Why is Jones a goner? What about Henan?
wookie Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Jones and henan are both hurt, 4-6 weeks away, next year for them in the cfl, they will still look at the nfl after they rehab i bet
brett_c_b Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Bombers released Kashawn Fraser and added an OL cut from the bears, Cam Jefferson. http://www.bluebombers.com/article/bombers-add-ol-jefferson-to-pr WINNIPEG, MB., September 9, 2015 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has added International offensive lineman Cam Jefferson to the practice roster. Jefferson (6-6, 305, Arkansas, May 2, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada) was a three year starter at UNLV, starting 33 games for the Rebels. In 2013, he was named a team captain and was an honorable mention All-Mountain West selection. He transferred to Arkansas for his final season, and played a variety of positions on the offensive line for the Razorbacks in his senior year. He was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in May.
bearpants Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Jones and Heenan won't be back in the CFL until they truly exhaust all NFL options... both were looking good to make their respective teams before getting injured... they'll take this year to train and try to get another crack this season or next... I know the Colts have said they would be willing to give Heenan another shot once he is healthy...
Stickem Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 All Mountain and Cam Jefferson seems really relevant...Nice size at 6'6 and 305....but is he quick in his feet...Glad to see we're still bringing in people...The quest for a decent o line continues..

I don't know that being quick in his feet is all that relevant if he's going to play on the interior. If he can just be a bulldozer and make some room for guys to run it'd do more than we're getting currently.
bearpants Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Nothing wrong with an O-line that goes Int-Int-NI-NI-NI... if that's the best use of the players... Calgary was running that while Federkeil was out...

James Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Sam Longo looks to be that bulldozer 17. Im likin the looks of him at LG with Neuf at RT
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Picard or Greaves might get you a conditional 7th round pick in trade. They are both hugely overpaid which kills their trade value if they had any as actual football players. Atomic 1
BomberBall Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Sam Longo looks to be that bulldozer 17. Im likin the looks of him at LG with Neuf at RT I read that Greaves could still practice tomorrow and play Saturday. Apparently he has a lower body injury... I thought they were making a change based on his terrible play... Guess not.

sweep the leg Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 It's funnier how fast he was proven wrong rather than the fact he was wrong. SPuDS, Goalie and Atomic 3

gbill2004 Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 @garylawless: O'Donnell's deal with the Esks was monstrous. Like him. Makes him one of the top paid OL in #cfl @CFL_News: Was to be expected. But if so, that puts him in around $250K territory. #CFL #Bombers
Goalie Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Taman traded him to the Esks no. Lol. Brutal. Crazy deal. Henoc probably would get the same. Make it happen Kyle
Jacquie Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Taman traded him to the Esks no. Lol. Brutal. Crazy deal. Henoc probably would get the same. Make it happen Kyle O'Donnell refused to sign with the Riders.
Mark F Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 It's funnier how fast he was proven wrong rather than the fact he was wrong. JBR is the guy that's been pointing out for several weeks, that the middle of the O line is not very good. so, looks like the team agrees with him. Not that he needs me to defend him Maybe the offence has a chance to do something now.

Or am I remembering him wrong?
