Mr. Perfect Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Oey... gary lawless @garylawless 2m2 minutes ago Early thinking out of #bombers camp is that Nichols will be on roster but won't start Sunday. I'm told Marve is hurt - expect Brohm to start

The Unknown Poster Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 If he starts and sucks, how short will the leash be? Does an unprepared Nichols give is a better shot than a "prepared" Brohm?
TBURGESS Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 If Marve's injury is more than just 1 game then the Nichols trade makes even more sense for us.
Rich Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I understand why with Nichols having little time in the offense. But Brohm has to be on a very short leash. If he is bouncing balls into the turf again, he has to be pulled.
Mr. Perfect Posted September 2, 2015 Author Report Posted September 2, 2015 ... FFS ... Couldn't have said it any better.
Mike Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Maybe Nichols doesn't start but good lord, give him two series to watch from the sidelines and throw him in there. Brohm is ****ing horrible. shadybob, Jimmy Pop and Jesse 3
rebusrankin Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 How sad is it that I and I assume many of us would rather start a QB who joined us on a Wednesday for a Sunday game than Brohm?
sweep the leg Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I'm talking Brohm in fantasy this weekend. I can feel the soft caress of that Joseph Abboud suit already. Fatty Liver, Bigblue204, bearpants and 2 others 5
Rich Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 QB situation with #bombers is fluid. Brohm, Davis and Nicholls will get reps. Job up for grabs? #bn #cfl — gary lawless (@garylawless) September 2, 2015
Mr Dee Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I'm not as scared of this as I first thought. Could be the aftereffects of the Nichols news. Mark F 1
Jesse Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Well, I definitely think I'm going to hit up practice tomorrow. Could be interesting, to say the least.
Jimmy Pop Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Brohm's starting? Sure hope we give Walker & Marshall 40+ carries then. Or, just punt on first down. Either is preferable. Mark F, HardCoreBlue and comedygeek 3
gbill2004 Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 How different is Edmonton's offense, compared to ours?
bearpants Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Honestly this could be a good thing.... give Brohm one last shot to prove to all of us he's not a completely useless, piece-of-****, excuse for a QB... and when he proves us all right after one quarter, the team will have no excuse to not release him... BBlink Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Honestly this could be a good thing.... give Brohm one last shot to prove to all of us he's not a completely useless, piece-of-****, excuse for a QB... and when he proves us all right after one quarter, the team will have no excuse to not release him... My thoughts exactly. Give him a start. He hasn't been given that opportunity this year.
trueBlue83 Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Brohm's starting? Sure hope we give Walker & Marshall 40+ carries then. Or, just punt on first down. Either is preferable. Lirim was probably our best player last week... he was booming em'!! Given MB's bland offence, I think they could give Nichols a small playbook to work with... you know, like they've done with Marve, Brohm...... dumbed down is just how Bellefeuille rolls!
sweep the leg Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I'm pretty happy to hear Adams is back.
IC Khari Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Not unexpected, I suspect we'll see Nichols sooner than later though ...
Captain Blue Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Start Nichols even if he knows half the playbook.
do or die Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Start Nichols even if he knows half the playbook. Especially, if he only knows half the playbook....... Jimmy Pop, blueandgoldguy, billfrank and 3 others 6
GCn20 Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 How different is Edmonton's offense, compared to ours? A lot. Just the terminology alone would make it impossible for him to start this week. Even starting the LDC on anything more than a skeleton playbook will be highly optimistic. He needs reps with the first team offence, and some deep immersion in the playbook. He will not have anywhere close to the full offence at his command within the next 3 weeks. It is laughable to think he could play this weekend unless we go sandlot and reduce our passing playbook to a few plays. There is zero chance he would have half the playbook at his command by this weekend. ddanger 1
do or die Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Might be possible with our stickman offensive playbook......
HardCoreBlue Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Brohm's starting? Sure hope we give Walker & Marshall 40+ carries then. Or, just punt on first down. Either is preferable. I would love to see that happen and listen to what the TSN commentators say, 'It's all about field position Gord'.
Goalie Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Honestly start Brohm. If he struggles go to Davis and then release Brohm after the game. I'd tell brohm this is his last chance to prove he can be a QB in this league. He hadn't started this year yet so...
