kelownabomberfan Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 I think let say goodbye for our hopes to see Muamba back in blue&gold. With our current situation, he won't come back here to spend another 2-3 years with a chance to win a cup. well then I hope every time he sacks our QB, tackles our RB behind the line for a loss, recovers one of our many fumbles or makes an INT I hope the Winnipeg fans boo him lustily! Just kidding, I couldn't blame him for not wanting to join team Hot Garbage.
Fatty Liver Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Who plays Centre if Goosen goes down? Morley.
bustamente Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Free Agents will get to the point of no thanks to the bombers if this circus continues and if Henoc makes up north why o why would he play here.
B-F-F-C Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 After todays game, I question if we should commit that much money to a MLB when we have so many other positional problems.
Mark H. Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 After todays game, I question if we should commit that much money to a MLB when we have so many other positional problems. Yes. Then plan on starting 3 American OL and get busy scouting down south.
Jesse Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 After todays game, I question if we should commit that much money to a MLB when we have so many other positional problems. You have to take solutions where you can find them. There aren't all star QBs who just got axed we can throw money at. There is a MLB who offers an upgrade. Goalie 1
pigseye Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 After todays game, I question if we should commit that much money to a MLB when we have so many other positional problems. He's a ratio breaker, even though we need help in other areas, you have to do everything you can to get him here.
JohnnyOnTheSpot Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 When the agent asks for bids from every team it's about the money. That's how we got Bryant, offered him 20,000 more than the next highest offer.

That's how we got Bryant, offered him 20,000 more than the next highest offer. Walters has done quite well winning auctions for Bryant, Westerman and Waggoner hopefully his luck continues with Henoc and or Wild.
DR. CFL Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 He is in fact a ratio breaker but we are talking about a team that for whatever reason chooses to start extra Canadians when they don't need to. I am all for being pro Canuck but when you have one country with a pool of 300 million and another with 1/10th of that does it not seem safe to believe you can find more and better qualified employees to play from the pool of 300 million? So let's start with playing 7 quality Canadians first and hope that Henoc's is one of them. Harbaugh 1

So let's start with playing 7 quality Canadians first and hope that Henoc's is one of them. Is there a team "starting" just 7 Canadians? It's a roster management ploy so they aren't stuck playing guys who don't belong on the field on O or D if there's an injury. Barely affects how they deploy the imports. The bigger problem here is the lack of impact players among the imports we're playing.
DR. CFL Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Roster ploy? When teams are struggling to find Canadians and replace injured Canadians in a league that has diluted the Canadian talent base by adding another team how is playing extra subpar players become a strategy? You are right this team needs impact players not just warm bodies, sum with barely a pulse.
Jacquie Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 It's funny all the negativity about Henoc not coming back to Winnipeg when during the game they were saying they heard he would be coming back to Winnipeg. Kyle Walters said before Henoc went to the NFL that he would match any offer from a CFL team. I can't see him changing his strategy. SPuDS 1
bustamente Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 We are already playing a canadian at his position although not a good one so he really dosen't help the ratio unless we want 9-10 canadians in the starting lineup and not win another game ever.
Atomic Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Hurl can backup Muamba for the rest of the year then be released. Or we could start two Canadian linebackers and 3 or 4 Americans on the OL.
B-F-F-C Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 If price was the same. Would you take Henoc Muamba or Ricky Ray? I only ask the question because should we be investing more money on the defence?
Jesse Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 If price was the same. Would you take Henoc Muamba or Ricky Ray? I only ask the question because should we be investing more money on the defence? I don't think Ray would help this team at all.

Willy cant be depended on to play 18 games in a season. But again the point of the post is should we be spending probably $250,000on a defensive player.
bustamente Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 There's not a defensive player in the league that i would give 250,000 a year to. sweep the leg and DR. CFL 2

I remember the Eskimoes having some terrible teams with Ray under centre and I just don't think he would be effective at all in this offence with this OL. I also think he's still not ready to start and trade talks are pointless. Not to mention the fact that he would get injured faster than Willy did. His body is no longer durable enough to take the hits he would here. Muamba on the other hand is a clear upgrade who would help our team now and going into the future. He is a cornerstone piece. deflated balls Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 With almost the entire second half of the season remaining, only one team in the league has less than a million dollars to spend. Not exactly money well spent...... From CFLCapGeek: Win $945K Mon $1,253M Tor $1,398M Sas $1,533M Ott $1,564M Ham $1,699M Cal $1,800M Edm $1,975M BC $2,127M

So you think putting an aging QB that has missed large chunks of two of the last three years because of injury behind this putrid o-line would improve the situation? Ray would need to be scraped off the turf within a game or two!
