IC Khari Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Banjo Bowl baby!! This is where the season turns around!! Matt Nichols! The Hero Appears!!! WE CAN'T LOSE!!! We can, but we won't
Goalie Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 7 Canadian starters. Not sure I like Collins out or Willie but so be it
SPuDS Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 wonder why veltung for willie... returns maybe?
Noeller Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 I like Bryant Turner a lot, but manman, Nate Collins is just such a manimal on th interior...we really need that guy.
Floyd Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Still starting 8 Canadians Yeah, I don't get it... basically Willie sits because Longo is in - going with JFG and Kohlert again... Starting Shell at Safety instead of Sherman or Jones seems strange to me as well
Tracker Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Is there any point in rostering Kohlert or JFG? There is only one, maybe two passes thrown to them during the game and those spots could be used to speed up water delivery to the team during breaks. Mark F 1
bearpants Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 I'd prefer to see Big League Teague start at safety and Simmons start at MLB... but what do I know...
gbill2004 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 I'd prefer to see Big League Teague start at safety and Simmons start at MLB... but what do I know... O'Shea has a hard on for Hurl, so that won't be happening any time soon.

JuranBoldenRules Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Still starting 8 Canadians Yeah, I don't get it... basically Willie sits because Longo is in - going with JFG and Kohlert again... Starting Shell at Safety instead of Sherman or Jones seems strange to me as well Longo slides in relatively cleanly, just needed a roster spot, no ratio issue. Just means that both of the scratches to get to 44 will be imports, likely Kearney and Johnson. Veltung is knocking Willie off. Sherman can't cover well enough to take a regular spot in the secondary, Jones is a corner, not a safety. If anything I'd use Simmons at safety a bit. Shell has lost many steps.
M.O.A.B. Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 They should have start Sherman (or Newman) at Safety instead of Shell. He should be the DI DB. Veltung should be starting instead of JFG unless he is still nicked up.
gbill2004 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 34,250 tickets already sold for the Banjo Bowl. That's about 1,000 over IGF capacity so the temporary seats will be in full force tomorrow! Mark F, IC Khari, Rod Black and 2 others 5
Logan007 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 That's one big thing about MOS I don't understand. Why he starts 8 Canadians. It's like he's trying to prove something, and really, whatever he's trying to prove....it's not working.
Tracker Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Wow! Winnipeggers and Bomber fans in particular are an optimistic lot. On the flip side, should the Big Blue stink the joint out, there are going to be a lot of boos and epithets raining down on them. I see this game as the current edition of the Bombers' last chance to redeem themselves against a long-term rival. If the Bombers win, many will say that its just the pathetic Riders, so no big deal, but if the Bombers lose.... No pressure though.
Jpan85 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Majority of teams do now because its a lot easier to substitutes guy in and out of the game. TrueBlue 1

sweep the leg Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Longo slides in relatively cleanly, just needed a roster spot, no ratio issue. Just means that both of the scratches to get to 44 will be imports, likely Kearney and Johnson. Veltung is knocking Willie off. I think Kearney will stay on on the 44. I can't see us going without a backup import db. I think we'll sit Veltung and Johnson. Veltung isn't necessary if he's not starting at receiver or our primary returner.

I really prefer Veltung than Stoudermire, to be honest. But with O'Shea taking over the ST maybe Stoudermire gets a big game tomorrow. Who knows.
gbill2004 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 In listening to Nichols presser today, he says one of his main goals is to get rid of the ball quickly, and that making the OL protect for 3-4 seconds is too much to ask. I’m thinking this offense could look a lot better with Nichols at the helm. Willy’s tendency to hold onto the ball so long was one of the major reasons for giving up as many sacks the past couple years. Sure would be nice to see us go on a nice run… JohnnyOnTheSpot and Doublezero 2

Leggett is a cornerback too, what's your point. Sherman and Jones are probably the fastest guys on our roster... I'll take a safety with closing speed over Lin-J Shell - if anything he should backup at SAM Veltung and Johnson probably sit... still drives me nuts that Rempel, Cronk AND Pontbriand take up spots on this roster voodoochylde 1
