Fatty Liver Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Great game in T.O. tonight, fun to watch for a change. Hamilton wins again but at least it was close.
bustamente Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Did anyone see Austin put his shoulder into the back of Stala on the sidelines after kick off return with 5 minutes in the 4th. Class move by a classy coach Goalie, SPuDS and AtlanticRiderFan 3
SPuDS Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I saw that and was taken aback.. Coaches are supposed to be above that petty bullplop. Pretty disappointed to see that.. But then again, its hamilton. They tend to be asshats every season lol.
Mark F Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 yes I saw it. unusual behaviour for a coach.
Fatty Liver Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Posted September 12, 2015 Under "when will they learn", Chad Kakert continues to play like a cannonball, which is fine but cannonballs are made of steel. Can't see him lasting this season either.
Floyd Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Just saw the highlights - funny, Austins move was kind of what I thought oshea would be like, and that's what I was pumped about - like actual passion instead of thousand yard stares
Atomic Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Of course the player Austin chooses to bump into is Stala. What a spineless coward Austin is. The Ticats are going to be like the Bills in the NFL....... four straight championship appearances but no wins. What a joke of a team.
DR. CFL Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 What is a bigger joke 4 Grey Cup appearances and no wins or 4 seasons out of the Playoffs? Seriously....bottle the sour grapes.
iso_55 Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Looks like Stala was doing what Stala always does mouthing off. That was just a nudge to tell him to get off his sidelines. Hardly a big deal. Yeah, after what I've seen the past 2 seasons, I'd take Austin's passion over the smirking O'Shea who does nothing on the sidelines but stare off into space anyday.
HardCoreBlue Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Did anyone see Austin put his shoulder into the back of Stala on the sidelines after kick off return with 5 minutes in the 4th. Class move by a classy coach Yes I saw it too. Austin will rationalize it in is head as he's a competitor. But if he really was self aware he's realize he's an ass plain and simple.
HardCoreBlue Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Just saw the highlights - funny, Austins move was kind of what I thought oshea would be like, and that's what I was pumped about - like actual passion instead of thousand yard stares Don't confuse passion with being a jerk. Two separate things. Want a example of passion? Dave Dickenson. He's passionate about the game, focuses on his team with little focus directed towards apposing team players. It's called being a professional. Mr Dee and iso_55 2
B-F-F-C Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Sorry ISO. That's not the behaviour of a head coach. As far as I'm concerned. Austin can no longer get upset with any cats player who gets penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. Good coach but a class A jerk. SPuDS, HardCoreBlue, Fan Boy and 1 other 4
gbill2004 Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Kent Austin is mentally unstable.
Mr Dee Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 C'mon, who does that kind of thing in professional ranks? That's middle school behaviour. Fan Boy and SPuDS 2
pigseye Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I can just hear Austin "I cut you, get off my sidelines"
DR. CFL Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Just win baby....and it seems Austin and his entire staff have figured out the formula.
SPuDS Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Just win baby....and it seems Austin and his entire staff have figured out the formula. anyone who believes Austin was ok doing this simply doesnt understand professionalism or respect in sports. a couch should NEVER deliberately hit a player... even soldiers of the battlefield show respect to each other.. hitting an opposing player from behind no less... is unfathomable in my mind.
Brandon Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Mike Reilly is like a real life Tecmo Super Bowl player.... So entertaining to watch. SPuDS 1
SPuDS Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Calgary edm games been pretty entertaining.. Not banjobowl entertaining but good watchin none the less.
TBURGESS Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Great game by Edmonton last night in the pouring rain. Nice to see that Calgary is indeed beatable. Good fun to watch two good teams taking their shots at each other. Best game of the weekend so far.

Good fun to watch two good teams taking their shots at each other. Best game of the weekend so far. Except if you were in the stands wanting both teams to lose :-)
Doublezero Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Did anyone see Austin put his shoulder into the back of Stala on the sidelines after kick off return with 5 minutes in the 4th. Class move by a classy coach Here's a vid. Folks can make up their own mind. Here's #Ticats coach Kent Austin bumping #Argos WR @StalaDave during Friday's win. #CFL pic.twitter.com/HHMNJY63a3 — Drew Edwards (@scratchingpost) September 12, 2015 Austin apologizes - but only after getting caught on camera. If a high school coach had done that "unintentionally" to an opposing player, he'd be suspended. BBlink 1
BBlink Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Didn't see anything live but watching that video it looks 100 percent intentional and Austin should get fined at the very least.
holoman Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 It's clearly intentional. He would be better served to tell the league to fine him and get everything over with.
