gbill2004 Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 @PentonKirk: #Bombers have put Canadian receiver Julian Feoli-Gudino on the six-game injured list.
Goalie Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 That's unfortunate.... when did he get hurt?
gbill2004 Posted September 22, 2015 Author Report Posted September 22, 2015 @PentonKirk: @BlueBomberTalk I asked O'Shea about Feoli-Gudino's health after the game. He said there was no problem. @PentonKirk: @garrettbillan1 He took a hard hit in the fourth quarter.
Goalie Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 X rays or something else must have revealed something a little more serious then. Don't like the after the game questions on injuries, they really don't know until the x ray or mri or whatever is done.

TrueBlue Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Twitter speculating possible concussion. You don't 6-game a guy for a concussion.
Arnold_Palmer Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Too bad. He's been one of our few sure handed receivers this season.

Goalie Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Ya. Read the twitter and it makes lots of sense
Noeller Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 I was wondering why Bastien was in the game at one point...s'posin' that would be why. SPuDS 1
Doublezero Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 That head shot on JFG should've been a penalty and disqualification for intent to injure. Refs missed it however. SPuDS and JohnnyOnTheSpot 2
17to85 Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Bellefools offence getting guys injured again. Our receivers seem to take a lot of big shots as well as the qbs and rbs. bryan35 1
aalgernon Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 That sucks. JFG is a solid player. He almost never drops the ball and works hard on every play. He's actually the only player who's name I've ever had on a jersey. I was happy to be wearing it at the Banjo Bowl when he scored a touchdown!
BigBlueFanatic Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Sucks for JFG - so sick to the teeth of watching un-penalized helmet to helmet in just about every cfl game I've seen this season
Tracker Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Sucks for JFG - so sick to the teeth of watching un-penalized helmet to helmet in just about every cfl game I've seen this season All games ought to be reviewed afterwards for evidence of helmet-to-helmet and intent to injure incidents. The CFLPA ought to be pushing for this- it is often marginal players going after the star players and the league needs all the high-profile players it can get. BigBlueFanatic 1
DR. CFL Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 What makes you think games aren't reviewed by the CFL. They are and teams submit specific plays to the CFL office for review as well.
SPuDS Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 That head shot on JFG should've been a penalty and disqualification for intent to injure. Refs missed it however. i said the same thing.. Launched himself with his head down, deliberate attempt to spear with helmet.. The fact he launched directly into JFG's helmet is just further intent to injure.

DB's using their helmets as weapons trying to intimidate receivers and RB's. The officials rarely call a penalty unless the victim is a QB.
M.O.A.B. Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 I'm hoping we start 4-import receivers this week: Moore, Denmark, Adams and Veltung with Kohlert as Cdn starter. I dont think Bastien and Richards are starters at this point. Maybe field just 7 Cdns starters for this week: Picard, Chungh, Neufeld and Kohlert on O. Westerman, Hurl and Bucknor on D.

They are and teams submit specific plays to the CFL office for review as well. If there is such a process, it is either restricted to egregious incidents or at random. The hit on JFG was only one example of deliberate intent that has gone unaddressed.

I would normally "like this" but there have been a lot of missed headshots this year. I know I am biased but it seems the bombers don't get that call.

And it's not just DB's, it happens at every position. Coaching my 11 year old son and his teammates chest plate tackling with faces/chest up, ready position, buzz the feet, rips and wraps sends mixed messages when he sees what happens at this level as the up and coming CFL fan that he is.
