blueandgoldguy Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 I took my weekly look at Grey Cup ticket sales and it appears there has been some significant movement in seats. I would estimate there are only 3000 left. Of course, not all the grayed out seats are sold, but I think it's safe to say that only a few hundred more of those will be made available over the coming months. Provided they didn't have to give too many discounts or freebies, props to Miller and the Grey Cup marketing committee for this bump in seats sales. There should be a legit sellout with the way things are progressing.

blueandgoldguy Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 With the elimination of the temporary north end zone seats capacity will be in the 36 - 37,000 range. A month ago, there was around 5000 available seats (shown as blues on ticketmaster) in the upper deck. It gradually declined to the approx. 1000 seats left now. While I'm sure there are some seats that are being held back, I doubt the club would deliberately remove seats from unsold status to sold status over the course of the last week.
gbill2004 Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Wasn't it like 26k sold a month ago? That's at least 10k available.
blueandgoldguy Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 Wasn't it like 26k sold a month ago? That's at least 10k available. Yeah a little over a month ago the sales were around 26,000. Maybe they have sold 6,000 tickets in the last 6 weeks?

DR. CFL Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 They have started discounting the tickets in an effort to move them.
wookie Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 why would u discount them today still 8 weeks to go, we just bought some, i did not see a discount
DR. CFL Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Discounted tickets for alumni and thru some major corporate sponsors. Sorry if you didn't have a hook up. After all it is Winnipeg...who pays full price?
DR. CFL Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Why discount tickets? You have reduced the seating by 5k and recently most Cup games have been sold out by now.
TrueBlue Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Discounted tickets for alumni and thru some major corporate sponsors. Sorry if you didn't have a hook up. After all it is Winnipeg...who pays full price? 100% not true. comedygeek 1
Goalie Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Maybe fans from around the league are now starting to buy tickets... Discounts? I don't think so, the Dr is once again speculating, he should know being a DR of the CFL that speculating is not a good idea.
Noeller Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Side note about Grey Cup Week: I'm a fan of the announcement that the 3 "Manitoban" craft brewers will be the official beer outside of the game itself, to which Labatt has exclusive rights. But all the socials and different events will feature Fort Garry, Half Pints and Farmery, which is only partly Manitoban. As a big craft beer junkie, this is fantastic news. Noeller Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Farmery WILL be made in MB soon...the brewery is under construction at Arden Hill, outside Neepawa, as we speak. For the time being, all the ingredients are grown here and brewed outta the Muskoka plant in ON.... Regardless...Half Pints and Ft Garry make some great brews, and Farmery is solid for an inoffensive sessionable beer. TrueBlue and Rich 2

Mr Dee Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Double post So, full pint is the best then? Judd 1
DR. CFL Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Another example of you don't like it..therefore it is speculation. Yes Alumni discounts and cooperate discounts are being offered. Sorry if u paid full price. I'll get u the Alumni discount if u like.
