Goalie Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 The Watchmen would be cool, won't happen tho but that would be cool. Tragically Hip is another one that would be cool as hell. Won't happen tho. It will be some band that most of never heard of or Hedley, who aren't awful but... aren't exactly what most people would want.
Geebrr Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Oh God if the Tragically Hip plays I'm definitely not going.
bigg jay Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 I've heard some rumors also.. Hedley was one of them, sheepdogs is another, there was another group that i cant recall the name of.. I've never heard of them. Hedley was the half time show 2 years ago so I doubt they'd be brought in again (especially so soon) since nobody has ever done it twice before. The Sheepdogs are playing the Friday night for the Grey Cup festival, along with the Trews so I'd say both those bands are out.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Didnt Hedley just do a halftime show a couple of years ago? Does it have to be a Canadian act?
bigg jay Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Didnt Hedley just do a halftime show a couple of years ago? Does it have to be a Canadian act? Yes, 2013 in Saskatchewan No, Black Eyed Peas & Lenny Kravitz have done the Grey Cup show.

Current, young, hit making radio friendly canadian pop act. But since they just played imma say they get the weekend
IC Khari Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 I'm afraid we'll be stuck with these guys ...
Noeller Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 If Hedley is the best they can do, I'd just as soon give it to Doc Walker. Regardless of popularity, they're a far better band...

The Weeknd would be cool but he's in Calgary on the 29th.
Mark F Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 jazz piano trio doing Beatles covers? solo classical guitarist? or one hundred metal guitar players doing smoke on the water? although none of those would be as good as Roch Voisine, I admit.

rebusrankin Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Wait, does Snow still perform? Loverboy? Harlequinn? SPuDS and BigBlueFanatic 2
bigg jay Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Barenaked Ladies, they could do the Big Bang theory theme song since they don't have any other recent hits.
Fatty Liver Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 It's time for Neil Young to come home, even if he's using a walker. Whatever happened to all of the great bands that used to come out of Wpg? Nothing much since the Crash Test Dummies and the fabulous Remy Shand. CodyT 1
Mark F Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Murray what's his name. and the Deverons. Fatty Liver 1
