neither Connor nor Ehlers is going anywhere....but yes, Connor is a far more important player.

If Sophie's choice here im going KConn but like Scheifele, Nik is on a good, long-term deal.

As always, does KC want to be here long term? We shall see else Trouba'd times ahead.

Connor likely gets a bridge cuz with scheif and wheeler hes great but hes not a complete 2 way player like Ehlers is. Connor needs to show he can be a line driver like Ehlers is.

Do ppl forget how bad we were when Ehlers was hurt? Vesa likely replaces Tanev who is pricing himself out of Winnipeg.

Its crazy to me ppl would trade. Connor or Ehlers but... Perreault Kulikov etc..older guys on expiring contracts.. Kept around. Mind boggling.. Draft Develop then Trade? I dont think so... Jets move kulikov dont sign myers move Perreault.. Trouba likely goes in a trade.. Tanev is replaceable bottom 6 depth.

These are the guys u move b4 moving parts of your young core group.

Yes he has.

No he hasn't.   The guy has been much more consistent then Laine and Ehlers have been.   Also Maurice is much more vocal and positive about KCONN then the others.

As for playing the trade game,  this was merely a fun who would we most likely keep if we had to get rid of one.    I don't think anyone on these boards would pick Kulikov/Perreault over Ehlers ...

Yes he has. You just refuse to accept it for some weird reason.. Even this season he went about 12 games without a goal. A 22 yr old more consistent than a 20 year old Laine? No way.. U can't be serious. Connor is similar to Ehlers in every way.. Ehlers is the better defensive player tho.. That's a fact. More consistent? Not really.. Just less hurt than Ehlers.

This season, from 2018/12/13 to 2019/01/14, Connor played 10 games, compiling 198 shifts for an average TOI of 19:34, didn't register a point and was a -8. That's pretty significant and statistically the worst stretch of his career. By comparison, Ehler's longest pointless drought is 11 games with a -2 (2015/12/05 to 2015/12/31) and Laine's longest pointless drought is 7 games with a -1 (2018/03/20 to 2018/04/02). I know +/- doesn't account for much; it's merely there for reference.

As for breaking down the consistency of the three wingers in question, such a comparison warrants actual research, not useless conjecture based ostensibly on nothing more than bias or ignorance.

Through 171 GP, Connor has averaged .38 GPG, .34 APG, and .72 PPG. (https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/c/connoky01.html)
Through 291 GP, Ehlers has averaged .30 GPG, .37 APG, and .68 PPG. (https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/e/ehlerni01.html)
Through 230 GP, Laine has averaged .47 GPG, .32 APG, and .80 PPG. (https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/l/lainepa01.html)

Even with his struggles this season, Laine is still the most consistent winger of the three. The fact remains: all three are immensely talented young players who make the Jets' top 6 very effective in their own unique ways.

Take away Connor;s first season and throw in the +/- and then what do we have?

Take away those 20 games and 5 points (2G, 3A), and his averages become .42 GPG, .36 APG, and .78 PPG. What's to be accomplished by cherry-picking stats, though? I'm not sure what you're asking. And what's the relevance of +/- as far as averages go?

Who cares. His overall game has improved dramatically. Hes 20 FFS.

Check out Scheifs stats at 20 which was his first year in the league or Connor who spent it either with the Moose or NCAA.

Hes also become an assist machine.. Has hit many goal posts.. Played most the season with a centre who he had no chemistry with.. Do ppl forget hes only 20 and has more points his first 3 seasons than Scheif did and scheif wasn't 18 when he entered the league. It takes a real special type of AHole to crap on a 20 year old with over 100 goals in his career b4 age 21.

Tough finish to the schedule for the Moose.  Three games, back to back to back, with the final game in the afternoon.

Fortunately, their opponents will have nothing to play for (maybe Grand rapids to seal up second place, but that could have already happened by game time), so the Moose may get uninterested squads.

Three games remaining. Currently holding the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central.

This is going to be interesting. I wouldn't want to play the Moose in the first round, if they make it. Too bad we couldn't have added Petan to that roster.
