The Unknown Poster Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Could see a coaching change perhaps? I guess it depends. I saw Zinger talk about the Moose and say its not like 1.0 where their main goal was winning. They want to win now, but they are developing for the Jets so if they team is playing the systems and just short on talent, then I guess so be it. They have some legitimate NHL'ers in Harrison and Halischuck and Cormier (low level NHL'ers but NHL'ers nontheless). Would be nice if Postma could be assigned there or even Pardy. I still think Petan might benefit from being the #1 center down there.

The Unknown Poster Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 You could put Blake Wheeler on the 4th line and say "see the 4th line is better" but it wouldnt be beneficial to Wheeler. My concern is whether Petan is getting the time and use he needs to develop. Coaches are smarter than me so I will assume they think he's fine. But I cant help but wonder if Petan was #1 center on the Moose and lighting it up, what that would do for his confidence. Something has to give regarding Postma. Cant be sent down because he wouldnt clear. But isnt even the back up D man. Pardy is.
Goalie Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 The moose suck. Petan would not help. If anything he needs to move up the lineup and get more minutes with more talented players. Lots of players better than Postma have cleared waivers already
Brandon Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 I haven't watched them, are they simply to young? Bad talent?
Ducky Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 http://moosehockey.com/stats/ Morrissey is lighting it up! FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 Young. Learning a new system. Talent Is there tho.
Rich Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Morrissey has regressed and it looks like his confidence is shot when you watch him play. Hopefully he can regain his game over the course of this season. Still young and still early to panic, but he is definitely struggling.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 Postma wouldn't clear waivers. I think he might now. Whose in desperate need of Dmen at this point? Looking at the league just cause they are that bad Columbus might but other then that...
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 So what's going on with the Moose? 7 goals in 6 games and Jay Harrison is the leading scorer for them??? 2 goals in 4 games good for Harrison. Raffl 1 game? Injured?
Brandon Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 So 11 games in and Morrissey still has yet to register a point? I haven't watched any games but looking only at the stats the goalies look good and the rest of the team look like a disaster. The leading point getter is a defenseman.... Only 1 guy has more then 2 goals... Any following the team know why they are sucking so badly?
Ducky Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 I'm going to the game against the Wolves on the 12th. Gonna keep my eye on a few including Morrissey. I am anxious to see either Helle or Comrie play in person.
Ducky Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Well, there's a reason Morrissey isn't with the Jets......he isn't playing that well at all. Lipon, Olsen, De Leo, Kichton, Hali, and cormier all played well. Most of the play was in the Wolves' zone but they couldn't finish.
Ducky Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Oh ya, I'm guessing this wasn't one of Helle's better games.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Morrissey needs to go to the Mark Scheifele school of bulking up.
The Unknown Poster Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I thought he bulked up too much, wasnt that the issue? Maybe a summer with Gary Roberts would help him.
Ducky Posted November 15, 2015 Report Posted November 15, 2015 Rather see him spend a summer with Bobby Orr or Serge Savard. He's still young and Chevy is showing patience with him but he was a liability during that Wolves' game. It seemd 90% of the game was in the Wolves' end but they scored on almost every half decent shot they had. I hope Helle had an off night because he will never play in the NHL playing like that.
Goalie Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 Morrissey isn't with the jets cuz they had like 9 guys on 1 way deals. Morrissey has been playing well. One bad game doesn't make a career. Man. The crapping on the young players is ridiculous
Ducky Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 Morrissey has one assist and no goals in 13 games and he plays the PP. He isn't playing well....not crapping on him it is the truth.
Goalie Posted November 18, 2015 Author Report Posted November 18, 2015 Point totals don't tell the story. He's playing fine. You went to 1 game.
Ducky Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 He was a liability in his zone and was directly responsible for one goal. I'm not saying he will never make the Jets. I am saying he is on the farm for a reason. Helle played poorly to if you ask me. Outplayed by the Wolves' goalie by a country mile. No, I'm not saying give up on Helle either.
