Ducky Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 He is on an ELC so Chevy will wait like he did with Bogo and Kaner.

Jets not sure if he's worth what he wants. TSN 1290 (VIA TODAY’S SLAPSHOT): Darren Dreger reports Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba is “absolutely willing to sign and stay in Winnipeg.” Trouba’s a restricted free agent this summer and the center of recent trade speculation. Dreger doubts Trouba will accept a bridge contract. “I believe that that number, term and dollars, is prohibitive from a Winnipeg Jets perspective”, said Dreger, adding that’s what fueling the trade chatter.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Clearly looking for more then Maatta else he be signed asap like Maatta.

Noeller Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Jacob Trouba has not justified an asking price of 7m+ yet.....I'd be passing on that, too. Rich and Goalie 2

Floyd Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Just don't see how Trouba can justify asking for more than Reilly? Six years at $5 mill AAV is the going rate... Maata at $4m for 6 was a bit of a deal imo...

Does this mean that they actually went to a Taylor Swift concert or is this one of those new hip innuendos that I don't get like "Netflix and chill"? Floyd 1
bustamente Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Offer sheets in the NHL just don't work with today's salary cap plus big money offers cost you dearly and Troubas not worth that kind of coin, at least not yet. Goalie 1

FrostyWinnipeg Posted June 11, 2016 Report Posted June 11, 2016 Something wrong about the NHL starting and finishing earlier then the NBA.

The Unknown Poster Posted June 11, 2016 Author Report Posted June 11, 2016 Season should start in September.
Noeller Posted June 11, 2016 Report Posted June 11, 2016 a buddy and I talk all the time about how the NHL would be a lot better if they cut back to about 65 games, and a best of 5 opening round series. I know it'll never happen because $$$$$ but for the quality of the game, the health of the players, etc....it would be so much better with less hockey but higher QUALITY hockey... ...Oh, and cut it back to 21 teams.......
