gbill2004 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Thomas still getting no respect in a thread about him, ha... Bilukidi or Bust! Thomas has been a valuable player this season. He definitely does his job well.
Booch Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Matthews signed a 3 year contract with Seattle this past offseason. Doubt he's back here anytime soon. a non guaranteed contract. Lots of guys sign deals then get dumped. That contract means squat

bustamente Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Based on what he did in the Super Bowl even if they cut him other teams would take a run at him. As for Thomas he has been a surprise and would be welcomed back for next year as a rotational player
Booch Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Not a 27 year old receiver next year who really hasn't done anything. He was in the dog house a bit at beginning of camp and questions about his mettle as a player were brought up Plus a 3rd year guy then economically wouldn't make sense for many teams due to bang for buck...he will be back in CFL sooner than later I find it funny too that people say Wild couldn't playMLB due to size..look at JC Sherritt...people rave about all 5'9" and 218 lbs of him Wild goes 6 feet...some places say 6'1" and 220...some places say 208 or so but no way he that light. I been next to him and I am 256 lbs and no way i have 50 pounds on him
Floyd Posted October 18, 2015 Author Report Posted October 18, 2015 And... what exactly was wrong with his long snapping? I thought it was good
gbill2004 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 And... what exactly was wrong with his long snapping? I thought it was goodIt was great. But you don't want a LB who plays quite a bit as your primary long-snapper. Recipe for disaster if he gets injured, which is more likely playing the position that Wild does. Ideally your LS only does long-snapping.
Tracker Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 And... what exactly was wrong with his long snapping? I thought it was good There was nothing wrong with Wild's long-snapping, but he was getting pulped by the opposing tackle.
DR. CFL Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 The rules now protect the long snapper. You can't line up and hammer him any more.
gbill2004 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 The rules now protect the long snapper. You can't line up and hammer him any more. The concern is him getting injured playing LB, if he's your primary LS.
JuranBoldenRules Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Unfortunately i think that Denmark and Moore have become complimentary receivers not go to guys, they need to add that true number 1 receiver. Imagine if they could get SJ Green, 2 in the slot, 1 kicks out to receivers and all three would have careers years with Willy throwing the ball of course. Denmark is the guy other teams are choosing to sit on with a guy over top and covering him on a curl drop too, bracket coverage. Since teams have been doing that our offence has been awful. Moore isn't a #1 guy, other teams don't respect him and just hand him the rope to finish himself off, drops and fumbles. Adams is lazy as all hell, it's been awesome for the few halves of games he's decided to play hard. I wouldn't bring either of those guys back next year. Denmark is a very good player, hard to get him the ball though when there's no one else who is a consistent threat.
rebusrankin Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Adams shows why we wanted him and why Toronto did not usually in the same game.
Jacquie Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Hall didn't make a Hurl a starter in Sask. Perhaps Hall knew he wasn't one. IIRC that was more Chamblin's decision than Hall's.
Tracker Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Hall is the only coach who has shone this year, so if he thinks that Hurl is or will be a good MLB, I would give him the benefit of any doubt. SPuDS, Fan Boy and WBBFanWest 3
Dragon37 Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 Hall didn't make a Hurl a starter in Sask. Perhaps Hall knew he wasn't one. Hurl isn't quite as bad as everyone says, IMHO, but he DEFINITELY is only starting because he is in Winnipeg. He would NOT be a starter on any other team. DR. CFL 1
