Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Some media guys are thinking Stafford got his elbow on it but... I dunno, regardless, hell of a shot and what a pass just now to myers but elliot with the big save. Crazy game.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Some media guys are thinking Stafford got his elbow on it but... I dunno, regardless, hell of a shot and what a pass just now to myers but elliot with the big save. Crazy game. I did not see it go off stafford on the pvr. Thought it went off goalie stick but i guess they asked Stafford.
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Stafford got credit, it was changed to Stafffords goal, must have gone off him slightly.
Brandon Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Refs sure are favoring the Blues in the third... Three missed calls at least
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Refs were awful, how is that a penalty to Buff, ridiculous really, clean hit, puck in the guys feet, just nailed him clean. Jets have an image problem it seems, they are big fast and play physical, just like Boston was, but unlike Boston, the Jets don't get away with their clean hits. Ridiculous. Blues owned them tho the last 2 periods, 1 2 4 5 shots in the third isn't gonna cut it really. Too bad, good game ruined by piss poor bush league reffing. blitzmore and Ducky 2
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 It almost seems like... if one team gets 6 or 7 powerplays, regardless of what happens on the ice, the refs will try their hardest to give the other team 6 or 7 powerplays also.. That's not how it's supposed to be tho.. Lots of missed calls this game, both ways but the 3rd was definitely the refs favoring st louis.. I mean, perfect example is the Buff Hit, clean, puck there, very clean... afterwards the St Louis D man punches buff a couple times, buff sends him flying, upshall comes in and gets decked also... all 3 should have got penalties on that play... but it was a good example of the refs favoring st louis. Personally, i don't think Buffs hit was a penalty but since it was called one, upshall should have got roughing and an instigator and the D man buff destroyed should have got a roughing call also. it was 2 on 1 for christs sake and buff is the one that gets the extra penalty? Bullcrap. Wonder if playing Peluso for 5 minutes was worth sitting Petan who plays on the 2nd powerplay with Scheif and Ehlers... lots of PP chances, all 6 goals scored in the game came on the PP actually, but... gotta think that maybe just maybe Petan playing on the 2nd pp instead of Burmi, and nothing against Burmi here at all but.. perhaps it makes a difference. Peluso did nothing all game. Ducky 1
Brandon Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 The dirty hit on Ehlers away from the play was of course missed
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Yup, and on the delayed penalty call to the Jets, where St Louis eventually scored, Perreault was tripped.. No call. Also the icing call against the Jets when Buff was interfered with by Bouwmeester... not a penalty but the icing should have been waved off. Lots of really bullcrap missed calls, both ways for sure but... really seemed like the refs favored st louis in the third big time.
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 With all that said tho, the Jets failed to capitalize on their chances and the blues did... If not for Pavelec, this game probably not as close as it was. Strong game from Pav again. looks really good this year.. When did the Jets forget to play D tho? That's troubling. They aren't playing like that team from last year just yet.
Ducky Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Before tonight's game, they had a GAA of 1.80 goals per game....that's not bad D if you ask me. 2.17 after today's game.
bustamente Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Give credit where credit is do, St. Louis came here without 2 of their better player and left with 2 points. We gave as good as we got but in the end they just have more depth at the moment.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 18, 2015 Author Report Posted October 18, 2015 Jets must have a bad rep. Refs sure don't give them any breaks.
Brandon Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Also thought the Ladd line was invisible...
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Wheeler with a 6 game point streak. D play isn't about goals against... it's about chances. St Louis had 41 shots. If our goalie didn't stand on his head for parts of this game.. it's an ass wooping. Same vs the isles. Dominated but Pav made the score seem closer. Our D as a team is lacking right now big time bustamente 1
The Unknown Poster Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Posted October 19, 2015 Also thought the Ladd line was invisible... Ladd maybe. Little and especially wheeler were all over the place n
Goalie Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Agreed. Ladd looked slow and gassed. Not sure if it's rust injury related or what but Ladd hasn't looked right. He's the anchor on that line right now in my opinion. Holding the other 2 back big time and dare I say not worth 6.5 million on a long term deal
The Unknown Poster Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Posted October 19, 2015 Should maybe swap Ladd and Perreault
Goalie Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Perreault takes too many penalties. Maybe one of the kids tho. Try petan with little and Wheeler. Ladd with Lowry and stafford Burmi to 4th line wing.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Posted October 19, 2015 I have Ladd in my pool so Id just as soon leave him! FrostyWinnipeg 1
