Mark F Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Still in the hunt, kind of sad. The league is pretty bad, when a team as crappy as ours is in contention. league/games/playoff positions, might be a lot more interesting if a better job of protecting the quarterback was done. From every angle... O lines and blocking, calling penalties, suspensions.... every approach needs to be taken, or the league will continue to stink with bad to terrible backup quarterbacking. Who wants to watch Brohm Nichols, Cato, Mathews, and the like.
Mr. Perfect Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 When you think about it, do you really want to make the playoffs only to get thoroughly embarrassed by Edmonton? Even if Drew Willy plays, the last thing I want to do is put a guy behind centre, our franchise QB no less in what may be his first game back to face a defence like that against our offensive line. iso_55 1
MOBomberFan Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 As if missing the playoffs 5 out of 6 years isn't already embarrassing. Yes Mr Perfect, I want to make the playoffs. JohnnyOnTheSpot 1
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 We played Edmonton really good last game, Think we'd play Calgary in the west semi anyway and we match up well with them. It wouldn't shock me if we made it and actually beat calgary only to lose to Edmonton.
gbill2004 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Bombers would have a very good chance of winning a playoff game against Calgary or Edmonton. Yes 100% I want playoffs!
rebusrankin Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 We've missed the playoffs three years in a row and 5 of 6, we need a playoff birth.
Brandon Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Who cares? More then likely we will get blown out. Do you really think we could beat Edmonton or Calgary in a game that matters to them?
Goalie Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Yes, we played them well the last time... That game mattered to them... Don't think Edmonton or Calgary is as good as their records are... we have played Calgary tough every game this year except the one Marve started... yeah i think if we play Calgary in the semis, we have a damn good chance at beating them.

Edmonton has looked pretty bad in the 2nd half of the season. It's not even cliche this season to say that all you gotta do is get in the playoffs to have a shot at the Grey Cup. The Bombers are literally one play from winning over Edmonton and Calgary in half the games they've played them this season. blitzmore 1
iso_55 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 As if missing the playoffs 5 out of 6 years isn't already embarrassing. Yes Mr Perfect, I want to make the playoffs. Not if it means a blowout & the chance Willy could get hurt again. I want Willy back only after a complete off season of rest & recovery so he's ready to go next season full speed.

Zontar Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 TSN showed Nik Lewis's bum like, 5 times, and they wonder why ratings are down. rebusrankin 1

Reilly threw 3 interceptions and if he can be forced into his scrambling mode he makes some truly idiotic throws.
bustamente Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Back into the playoffs who cares, anything can happen in the playoffs even a Bomber win.
DR. CFL Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Make the playoffs...great waste money on an extra game as the CFL allocation of expenses and playoff shares no where near covers the actual cost. And reinforce management's mantra that we are on tract with the Plan.
Fatty Liver Posted October 18, 2015 Author Report Posted October 18, 2015 TSN showed Nik Lewis's bum like, 5 times, and they wonder why ratings are down. I'm hoping TSN comes up with a butt crack blocker of some kind, either that or dress Nik in a full body leotard to avoid the spectacle. Bad for ratings and children.

Noeller Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Curious to know if Willy could play if we got to the ESF by some miracle...
Mr Dee Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I don't think any team is going to win in the playoffs. Everybody is playing badly.
rebusrankin Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I think a playoff birth helps perception with more casual fans which helps ticket sales, which helps the club. Personally would like to see my team in the playoffs, unless it means keeping Marcel.

If Mike Reilly plays how he did this week against BC or how he did against Hamilton a few weeks ago the Esks are capable of losing any given game.
