TrueBlue Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 We've all debated before about how the first round bye for each divisional winner can be both a good thing and a potential bad thing. Are more teams better for it being well-rested and prepared, or does it hinder them because of the rest has converted rust? So far this season teams are 10-7 in the games following their bye-week. The likely scenario that will play out this year will be that Edmonton wins the west and has the first round bye. Couple that with their last regular season bye happening during the last week of the season, that will add up to 21 days between games. Edmonton has won 7 games in a row, and may win their 8th on Sunday facing Montreal. They are on a hot streak right now. Good thing or bad thing in this situation?
JimmyFartball Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 Bad thing. I would say Edmonton needs to lose the next game and allow the Stamps the bye to avoid a 21 day break, but I'm one of the few suckers that is still needing them to beat Montreal so we can remain in playoff mode HA HA HA HA HA, I'm such a patsy LOL Mark F 1
bearpants Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 I think that break will be a very bad thing... but you don't intentionally lose, not under any circumstance... and I can't imagine a Chris Jones lead team would do it...
