bustamente Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 Jets waiting for them in Columbus who lost last night. Jets need to have a good, fast 1st period score quickly and have a good lead going into the 3rd period. Worry about Montreal tomorrow.

Mr Dee Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 GAME PREVIEW Columbus Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella will work his first home game since replacing Todd Richards on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets. The Blue Jackets did not skate Saturday morning after losing 2-1 at the Washington Capitals on Friday. The game Saturday is sandwiched between four- and three-game road trips. Left wing Brandon Saad, who did not play Friday because of an illness will be in the lineup. Saad has three goals, tied for second on the Blue Jackets with Brandon Dubinsky and Scott Hartnell, but hasn't scored since the fourth game of the season against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 14. Sergei Bobrovsky, will start. He has played all four games since Tortorella took over, going 2-2-0. Bobrovsky made 26 saves against the Capitals. Defenseman Kevin Connauton played for the first time Friday under Tortorella; Fedor Tyutin was a healthy scratch for the first time since Dec. 6, 2010. Jets: Despite allowing the first goal in eight of 10 games, the Jets are 5-2-1 in those games. Winnipeg fell behind Thursday but rallied for 3-1 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks to complete a 3-2-1 homestand. Saturday starts a stretch of four straight, and eight of nine on the road. "I thought we've had some pretty strong starts," Jets defenseman Tyler Myers said. "The other team just happened to get the first goal. We bounced back. That's what you need from a team. It shows a lot of character and not letting it affect you. "Certainly you want to score the first goal more often, especially on the road. You want to keep the other teams from getting momentum in front of their own fans." Here are the projected lineups: JETS Andrew Ladd – Bryan Little – Blake Wheeler Mathieu Perreault – Mark Scheifele – Nikolaj Ehlers Alexander Burmistrov – Adam Lowry – Drew Stafford Nic Petan – Andrew Copp - Chris Thorburn Toby Enstrom – Dustin Byfuglien Ben Chiarot – Tyler Myers Mark Stuart – Jacob Trouba Ondrej Pavelec, Michael Hutchinson Scratched: Adam Pardy, Anthony Peluso, Paul Postma Mark F 1
Mr. Perfect Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 Nice start through eight minutes. A few too many turnovers however that a better team would surely make the Jets pay for.
IC Khari Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Peluso first fight of the year for a Jet, well I'm glad coach put him in then
bustamente Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 know people don't like the idea of Peluso playing ahead on Petan in certain games but he does what has to in terms of fighting and like it or not keeps teams honest about take liberties on the smaller players, plus he played not to bad tonight. Congrats to Copp for his 1st goal, Burmistrov had a good game, defense as a hole played very well. Good game on to Montreal blitzmore 1
Guest J5V Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Really hoping for a good game against the Habs.
The Unknown Poster Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 @justwokeupjava: Btw @BiggieFunke is now tied for 4th in NHL scoring, just 3 points out of the lead (Benn) - wow!!
Goalie Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Jets dominated from what I saw. Score closer than it should have been

Good game on to Montreal seems like teams are picking on ehlers.... am I right? at least twice I've seen sticks to his face. Don't like that at all, if having a fighter can stop that, I'm in favour.
bustamente Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Took a high hit last night again but got right back up, no doubt some teams will take shots at him he will just have to keep his head up. As for Peluso his role and that of others like him is disappearing but as long as other teams have them we have to be ready, plus it doesn't hurt if he plays like he did last night. Petan probably in tonight versus Montreal
