One thing to note is that Norwood was going to give F.A. a go at the end of this season as he was only earning $90,000.  If Jones can tie him up for a couple of years at a reasonable rate than it may be worth the gamble on his recovery.  If Norwood plays this year and goes to F.A. anyway, it doesn't look so good imo.

Got mixed feelings about it. One thing is for sure, Norwood is very good when healthy. Is he healthy, will he ever be healthy again to regain forum, what are the risks?

Minor news, but fwiw, Jeff Fuller was waived  by his NFL team today.......not sure if he'd come back north to Stamps (or whoever) or if he's planning on trying to catch on with another team down there.

I'd like to see us go after Fuller.

I think Fuller will get a lot of attention if he comes back North. Good ball player

Looks like the riders signed or on the verge of signing Norwood. Bit of a gamble, but if he comes back in August as projected and is playing anywhere near where he was, that could be a good pick up for them, especially if he'll be a fresh body for the 2nd half of the season

The Norwood deal is just for this year so not a great deal imo.

yeah i saw the tweet earlier, still dont think it's a bad move.  If he comes back and is good to go he's worth the gamble. if hes not,  well they arent locked in long term. Just curious if he got a signing bonus. there were apparently other teams interested in him, so it might have taken a little give, to get

Phillip Hunt released by the Saints. Probably end of the road for him. Unless a club pick him up for a look-see.

He's only 30 too, if he made his way back north I'd totally not be against going after him. it would make a lot of Hunt jerseys relevant again too, which is an important thing to consider in whether or not to give him a call ;)

Relevant if you want to wear an old style jersey.

Glad to see Clarence get another opportunity but don't care for the landing spot.  Who would have thunk, Dressler for Denmark would never fly in Riderville.

Nothing like making things up on the fly. In what world was that move made??

Theoretically if that trade was made, Denmark for Dressler... or even Smith... at the end of last season, Rider fans would be outraged... don't pretend that's not true, even in hindsight...

The fans would definitely have been mad. There are people here still mad about dressler not being here. He was well liked and was a big fan favorite. I agree totally with you except for the part that no trade occurred.  I see a steady vet in Denmark, depending on the money it might not be a bad move. Dressler see's himself as a top tier receiver in the league, simply fact is his production doesn't warrant his salary. If there was no salary cap, Dressler likely would still be here.  At the salary you guys signed him for, Dressler will deliver a good value money wise. Speaking of last year, how many Bomber fans would have wanted Dressler for 240k/yr???

They have NOTHING for receivers overrated there... Shy would you not bring a guy like Denny immediately?? He'll do nothing but help them over there..
