TrueBlue4ever Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Now that John Hufnagel is stepping aside as head coach in Calgary for Dave Dickenson, rumours are floating around that he would still like to be a head coach as well as a GM, and that Saskatchewan may be interested in him, notwithstanding their request to interview assistant GM John Murphy for the GM job. Simple question, would you be in favour of the Bombers going after Hufnagel for the dual coach/GM role in Winnipeg for next year and dumping the current regime, or stick with what we have and let them continue to shape the team their way?
17to85 Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 If he wants to be both HC and GM I'd give the man a blank cheque and tell him to write in a number that would get him here. I like O'Shea but if you can get arguably the top guy in the CFL you do it. LeBird, Blue-urns, Logan007 and 5 others 8
TBURGESS Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Yuuuuup! I'd bring in Huffer to do both jobs in a heartbeat. Then again, I'd replace Walters with Murphy and O'Shea with whoever Murphy thought would be good too.
bb1 Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Whatever Huff wants I'd give him.Throw in CEO if he wants it.
holoman Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Jog my memory, can anybody tell me when was the last time an organization who at no point was to fire their GM/HC , and just dump said GM/HC out of the blue for another like this? Logan007, blitzmore and Mr Dee 3
rebusrankin Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 In a heartbeat. I think many here would help MOS/Walters pack and drive Huff in from Calgary. Blueandgold 1
Fatty Liver Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 The decision to retain both Walter and O'Shea has already been made, I would be surprised if Wade changed his mind now. Plus Huf has already denied rumours generated in Sask. that he was looking elsewhere for employment. blitzmore 1
Blueandgold Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 This is like cutting Kevin Glenn for Doug Flutie. Given the opportunity you do it without question.
iso_55 Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Miller won't fire Walters, c'mon guys...The Bombers would never be willing to pay what Huff would want anyway. You already know that. Why even talk about it? Because it's fun to speculate about people that'll never come here & be hired? Shoot me now to put me out of my misery. rebusrankin and DR. CFL 2

I'm beginning to dream of a Stanley Cup because it's more realistic than the Bombers winning a Grey Cup. . Grey Cup? I've given up dreaming that. I love the Bombers. Wish I could attend more games. Always cheer for them but a Grey Cup in my lifetime? Meh. I almost don't care anymore if we win a Grey Cup. Hate to say it, but the last 3 years have just about sucked me dry as a fan.

iso_55 Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Not happening no point in day dreaming You're lucky you're young. You might see the Bombers win a Grey Cup by the time you're 60. IC Khari 1
IC Khari Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 I did post the 1990 Grey Cup win again ... thankfully I was 29 when that happened ... when my grandchildren have grandchildren they may see another win

At one time this thought would have ticked me off, now I just want the team to prove these kind of statements wrong. So far they have failed miserably at it ...

JimmyFartball Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 I was born the year they last won 1990, I still have hope I'll see a championship team here before I go to the nursing home. Dragon37 1
LeBird Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Miller might have a change of heart when the season ticket drive starts.
iso_55 Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Miller might have a change of heart when the season ticket drive starts. Too late by then. Hey, who has suffered more? Ourselves or Cleveland Browns fans? Johnny Football is back to his partying ways now they handed the keys of the franchise to him for the rest of the year.

I don't think they regret it. bigg jay and Al Bundy 2
bearpants Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 The answer is obviously yes... X 1000.... but in reality, it is not happening... so I won't get my hopes up....
Mark F Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Not happening no point in day dreaming can we work Megan Fox into the dream somehow?
Mark F Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 anyway, I heard John Hufnagle wasn't going to let other teams talk to John Hufnagle while he's under contract. Mr Dee and Al Bundy 2
