Goalie Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Rumors swirling that Helle will get the start, apparently the Jets flew his entire family in last night, which suggests he is getting the start today.
Jimmy Pop Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Apparently his alma mater is wishing him congrats on his first NHL start tonight. Haven't seen any confirmation anywhere tho? I think it's the smart call, if true. Helles Bells are ringing, time to answer.
Ducky Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 If you ask me, it is smarter to let him play Saturday but what do I know.
Jimmy Pop Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 To me today is the tougher game, and the game we need a spark to help us get over the hump. If we can't beat Col this weekend, regardless of who's in net, then you may as well mail 'er in anyway.
Ducky Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Couldn't beat them at home and whether Hutch shines today or not, you can still play Helle tomorrow...doesn't really matter to me though if he plays at least one of these games... is Armia playing?

Mr Dee Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Have to make mention and acknowledgment of Mark Stuart who recently (last game) recorded his 1000th blocked shot in the NHL. 1002 blocked shots! That's a lot of blocks. He's had 5.3 blocks for every 60 minutes (6.1 career) he's played and he hits 10.2 times for every 60 minutes (7.4 career) for games this year. Keep your head up when you face him... blitzmore 1

Goalie Posted November 27, 2015 Author Report Posted November 27, 2015 #1 and #4 on the list are Jets prospects
The Unknown Poster Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Interesting that Helle was a 5th round pick. If all goes according to plan that's going to be a big time scouting win.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Game 24 : Jets @ Wild Fantasy: Helle gets shutout becomes new #1 Reality: Jets lose by one
The Unknown Poster Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Peluso sending an early message.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Peluso sending an early message. Best Jets fight Ive seen in a long time. sweep the leg 1
BomberBall Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Peluso sending an early message. Best Jets fight Ive seen in a long time. Can't get to a TV.... Did Peluso kick some ass?
The Unknown Poster Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Peluso sending an early message. Best Jets fight Ive seen in a long time. Can't get to a TV.... Did Peluso kick some ass? Im at work listening. Sounds like the Wild player scored a few shots and Peluso turned the switch and whooped him. Announcers said Wild player had his hand up to protect his head waiting for the linesmen to break it up.

Ducky Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Peluso gets the win on that fight as the ones that landed on him didn't have much behind them. Ya, he had his hand up for some reason, I thought he was hurt badly at first. Good period by the Jets but need some Offense.
bigg jay Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 The fight is up on hockeyfights.com if people want to see it.
Ducky Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Two solid periods from the Jets....keep it up and we'll leave with a win.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 There's goes the Stanley Cup, wtg Stu.
Goalie Posted November 27, 2015 Author Report Posted November 27, 2015 That was their best game all season by far, complete 60 minutes, strong defensively, very solid possession numbers for sure. If they play like that from now on, They will make the play-offs for sure. No doubt about it. That's the Jets team we have all been waiting for. Helle didn't get a lot of work but he looked big in the net and confident, didn't have to make any spectacular saves but that's the type of goalie he is, strong positioning, made a couple nice saves when the game was tied, only goal that beat him went off stuart.. Trouba just had his best game all year and I wonder if the Hamonic trade rumors sort of affected his play? Might have, Several reports today have said the Jets have said they aren't trading Trouba for Hamonic. He responded with his best overall game of the year, Big BIG GOAL for Ehlers. Perreault starting to heat up now too, Beyak mentioned perreault really didn't get going until about game 20 last year, looked like the same this year as he's had 2 strong back to back games. Goals in both. Jets looked really good. Like i said, play like that every game from now on and they will be in the playoffs. Side Note: Wild took a time out with about 2 minutes left, They showed Hutch on the bench a bit, didn't look like he was very happy at all.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 Backups never smile on the bench, some odd rule.
bustamente Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 Writing is on the wall for Hutch next year and Pavs the following
Ducky Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 Myers has taken ice time away from Trouba this year.....wonder if that has anything to do with it? He had over 23 minutes today.
