From the article:

"The Niagara Falls, Ont., native went unselected in the 2014 CFL Draft largely because he wasn’t back to 100 percent after suffering a freak ACL injury in practice halfway through his 2013 season. That made Rush a free agent and he turned a spectacular final season at Guelph into a pro contract."

I don't understand the timeline on things like this.

If he's like a "free" draft pick, how did he only get added to a negotiation list two weeks ago. According to the article, he was 2014 eligible, not 2015, which means he's been a free agent for essentially 18 months or so. I think that's a mistake by Dunk though, because Rush attended the regional combine in 2015 and was apparently a draft eligible player at that point.

I had heard about this deal a few days ago and I don't understand how it happened, but it's a good pickup for us.

Its always good to sign an impact player from the CIS especially one who is highly regarded. It's even better when you spend nothing for him.

Is this a Walters-Guelph connection signing?

Does this mean our MLB position is staying as it was? That is...NI driven

So many NI LB types being signed...

But does it really matter I guess, as long as they can play football.

I just hope this signing means we are moving Hurl or at least reconstruct his 6-digit contract.

Another LB that I wish the Bombers will pursue (if he becomes freeagent) is Thomas Miles.

What would one have to do with the other?

Strange the way he just fell off the radar until now.

The benefit of having a GM who is 'in tune' with the CIS?

Also, he was busy with his own playoffs until Guelph was eliminated on Nov. 21st
