Rich Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Per sources, Rich Stubler is in talks with the Toronto Argos to become their next DC. Almost a done deal. #CFL — Scott Mitchell (@SUNMitchell) December 1, 2015 Is his contract up in Calgary?
bigg jay Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Contract is finished. Before grey cup, Lawless said it was a good bet that he was headed to Toronto.
17to85 Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Who was TO's DC this past season? Casey Creehan I believe
voodoochylde Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Casey Creehan. Great position coach .. lackluster results as a DC ..
Fatty Liver Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Thought Stubler was considering retirement??? Wonder if Tim Burke will be back in the CFL at some point.
TBURGESS Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 http://www.calgarysun.com/2015/12/01/calgary-stampeders-defensive-coordinator-rich-stubler-in-talks-with-toronto-argonauts-to-move-east- Calgary Sun has the story too.

Mike Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 S'posin' this opens up a spot for Benny, anyhow...... Claybrooks will get the Calgary job. Status quo for those guys. Noeller 1
Noeller Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 http://www.tsn.ca/cfl-coaching-carousel-picks-up-speed-1.402668 The CFL coaching carousel is picking up speed as new head coach Dave Dickenson is beginning to put together his staff with the Calgary Stampeders. Stampeders’ defensive coordinator Rich Stubler is leaving the organization and Dickenson is making his moves to regenerate his staff. Stubler's contract is set to expire and it's believed he's got his sights set on joining the Toronto Argonauts, if the team decides to make a change. Argos’ defensive coordinator Casey Creehan is still under contract, but his status for next season remains unclear. Stubler has strong ties to the Argos organization. He served as both a head coach and defensive coordinator for the franchise in the past. Dickenson is expected to promote from within to fill Stubler's position. CFL sources say Dickenson will offer the Stamps defensive coordinator gig to DeVone Claybrooks. Claybrooks has been the defensive line coach in Calgary and will move up the ladder. Dickenson is actively looking for a new defensive line coach and the leading candidate is former Stamps lineman Corey Mace.
Logan007 Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 OH I SEE! Stubler LIED to us and said he was going to Calgary because his family was there. Now he's waltzing over to Toronto. Thanks Stubler. I hate you. I wish Huff would come here and just take over and make us SUPER BOMBERS! Floyd 1

Doesn't want to work with Dickenson? Maybe he wanted to be head coach.
Floyd Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 wow, no buzz at all about Bombers' OC search... a bit weird.
Jpan85 Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 I think it heats up after the Riders situation shakes out
TBURGESS Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Looks like it's a done deal and Stubler didn't tell the Stamps until it was a done deal as per Dave Dickenson's video. http://www.stampeders.com/video/index/id/120703

Brandon Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 So what was the reason that Burke left Toronto?
Fatty Liver Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 So what was the reason that Burke left Toronto? Edit
Fatty Liver Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 I think it heats up after the Riders situation shakes out For the life of me I don't understand this approach, if they wait for the dust to settle they will be left with table scraps AGAIN.
MOBomberFan Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 So what was the reason that Burke left Toronto? Edit Wasn't it reported he had personal family issues to attend to?

We're not in the market for the same thing (unfortunately)... I'm guessing that one or more of our OC candidates are also HC candidates with Sask so they are unwilling to commit till they've had a chance to, at least, talk to Sask... that being said... if our top OC candidates don't get the Sask HC job I will be very disappointed if our OC is not named ASAP...
DR. CFL Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 The dominos will start to fall into place after the Chris Jones situation plays out in Sask.
iso_55 Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 The dominos will start to fall into place after the Chris Jones situation plays out in Sask. Yeah, we'll get the last domino. If that.
