That's too bad, Willie was a great RB.  I have to wonder if his premature death had anything to do with concussions.

I don't think so. He was on the waiting list for a heart transplant according to a story that ran in the Calgary Herald Sepember 2nd.

George Hopkins the Stamps Equipment Manager who's been with the team since the 70's said Willie was the nicest player he ever met. Polite, always smiling. He said he met a few low life players in his time that came & went along with the greats but Burden was the best.
