James Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Pretty pumped about this hire! Excited to have a run game for the first time since he was last fired. and I think with Willy his offence is going to be fantastic
KptKrunch Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Not bad I guess - could have been worse. No way, no how is Jason Maas going to Wpg as the OC - guess it's not in the news there - he's going to replace Chris Jones here in Edmonton as the Head Coach of the Eskimos. Will probably be announced by the end of the week.
Nolby Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Pretty pumped about this hire! Excited to have a run game for the first time since he was last fired. and I think with Willy his offence is going to be fantasticwith maybe Andrew Harris as our running back for 2016?!?!?!?
Brandon Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 LaPolice made ten professional visits during his time away and continued to improve his playbook @Wpg_BlueBombers @cfl — gary lawless (@garylawless) December 8, 2015 This has got to be great news for Drew Willy. MB did the exact same thing... I remember exactly about how they were pumped that MB learned new things doing all that scouting in his off time... rebusrankin, TBURGESS and Fred C Dobbs 3
Fatty Liver Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I still want K.Jones here as QB coach, if it's possible. And Bob Dyce as ST coordinator. That would be great. Not sure if Khari would come here just to be a QB coach though. He might if he doesn't have any other job offers, especially in BC.

I think so.. I think the general consensus is if we make him a fair offer he'll be here for sure
Blueballz Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I think this signing made the most sense.
Ripper Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Congrats guys. excellent move by the Bombers, always liked Lapo. His only fault is he is too nice and wasn't cut out to be HC at that time. Maybe he is ready now and this puts O'Shea on short leash. Nothing like having your replacement already on the payroll.
Logan007 Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 LaPo is great if you like milky toast. I like chocolate milky toast. Does that count? Floyd 1
The Unknown Poster Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Obviously they knew they were hiring Lapo all along so was the request to speak to Khari about a different position? The casual fan would love Khari back under any circumstance.
Blue_Dragoon Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I hope he has evolved from the "check down" offense he was running the last time he was here.
Ripper Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I hope he has evolved from the "check down" offense he was running the last time he was here. I'm sure being on national tv has helped his confidence and swagger. I expect Lapo to do a good job
do or die Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Well, that search must have been pretty exhausting...... Cycling around the block, year after year....is a Bomber speciality. Our brain trust must be wearing bicycle helmets, by now. rebusrankin, Brandon and blueandgoldguy 3

The casual fan would love Khari back under any circumstance. I would think they were just covering their bases in case Lapo got the Sask HC job.

The casual fan would love Khari back under any circumstance. I imagine they did give consideration to guys like cortez and khari. But plop was probably top of the list, and i bet he jumped at the chance to get back to coaching and be the guy whose a couple losses in a row from being a head coach again. Ripper 1
do or die Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Will give Lapo some credit here.....not many guys come back as an OC, after being fired as a OC...then a HC, by the same team..... Now that's determination.... wbbfan 1

Blueballz Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 LaPolice fired twice by the Bombers...yes but different regimes.
wbbfan Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Will give Lapo some credit here.....not many guys come back as an OC, after being fired as a OC...then a HC, by the same team..... Now that's determination.... * insert cliche about the definition of insanity here * Hmm if he would be fired then by this regime, would that be a record? has any coach been hired and fired by the same team 3 times, each time a different group at the top?
do or die Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 This might just work. After all, being on the internet all this time, has done wonders for my confidence and swagger.......
OldSchoolBlue Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Rats. Again with the safe, passive hire. God forbid this organization hires someone that might challenge the status quo or actually try something interesting. DR. CFL 1
IC Khari Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I guess that means Tina Lapolice will be back on Twitter ...

George Steinbrenner and Billy Martin is the only ones who come to mind, but it was the same management every time! Pretty crazy even though it's baseball and not football ...
Shanks Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 On one hand, the man has failed here twice before which makes me less than excited. On the other hand the lack of experienced, capable offensive playcallers speaks for itself currently. We got the second best (I don't buy Cortez is retiring) person out there that has experience, but he's still a B level coordinator at my best in my opinion. Apparently while doing his TSN gig he's attended 10 NFL camps held to improve and come up with new offensive Offensive plays. A guy who is willing to do that on his own dime and time is serious about improving his OC abilities. Time to forget about the old days guys. Give him a break.
