kelownabomberfan Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 (edited) Hawerchuk scored goals that were unbelievable. Doan is above average, but that's it. There is no comparison between the two, really. Edited December 31, 2015 by kelownabomberfan Goalie 1
Goalie Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 Hawerchuk was elite. Doan isn't. End of story
kelownabomberfan Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 KBF now reporting live from Glendale. Tried to get into the Yard House but it was packed with Jets fans so went elsewhere. More Manitoba plates in the parking lot then Arizona plates. Jets jerseys out numbering Coyotes 3-1. I wonder what it's like here when the Coyotes play Florida or Columbus? The Unknown Poster 1
Goalie Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 And just like that.... Domi to Doan and scores. Jets playing very good tho. If KBF never mentioned it... I'd still be able to see that Jets fans outnumber Coyotes fans. Lol @ the ref saying Phoenix penalty tho. Oops
FrostyWinnipeg Posted January 1, 2016 Author Report Posted January 1, 2016 Someone tell Ehlers to stop with the embellishments.
The Unknown Poster Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 great timing on the penalty by Captain Ladd. blitzmore 1
bustamente Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) This game has been so disappointing because Arizona is just terrible and we are probable going to lose,on a positive note good crowd in the arena...... thanks Jets fans. Edited January 1, 2016 by bustamente
BomberBall Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 This officiating is disgraceful. Goalie, blitzmore and FrostyWinnipeg 3
Goalie Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Reffing was bad but jets have a reputation for taking dumb penalties so they get no benefit. Here's a head scratcher tho. Thorburn on the ice on the 6 on 5. Ladd takes dumb penalty... rewarded by being reunited with little and wheeler. Myers dumb penalty. Plays his next shift. Sorry but that is poor coaching
Ducky Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Too bad, Helle deserved a win. Whether it was a penalty to Ladd or not, why make that play? Nothing at all to be gained by it. Stupid play.
bustamente Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Could of Should of .........Does'n't look very promising for a team trying to make up ground in the standings. Coaching staff needs to be looked at same mistakes made yet again. Goalie 1
Ducky Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 They were tied on a road game with under 8 minutes to go and the Jets get scored on by the PP. What was it about the coaching? The lines? The systems?
The Unknown Poster Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Austin watch continues! Brandon Blue&Gold, Goalie and FrostyWinnipeg 3
kelownabomberfan Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 KBF now reporting live after the game. What a let down for the thousands that made the trip. Ladd just pisses me off. What a dumbass. The Jets just find new ways to beat themselves. As I explained to a Coyote fan, I have spent 40 years watching the Jets and the only thing that surprised me was that both teams didn't find a way to lose. At least we got a decent game. The Coyotes really are pretty brutal. But they do work pretty hard. Too many mental errors for the Jets. Argh blitzmore, Brandon Blue&Gold and The Unknown Poster 3
Goalie Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Thorburn on the ice on the 6 on 5. Ladd being back with little and wheeler after taking his dumb penalty. The lack of pp execution. The lack of pk execution. The same guys taking the same dumb penalties with no consequences. Actually being rewarded at times bustamente 1
FrostyWinnipeg Posted January 1, 2016 Author Report Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Maurice on the game... "That was a difficult loss for us and it should be because we just dominated most of the game and couldn’t figure out the puzzle. You can’t touch them and you can’t dive and we couldn’t figure that out. "I’m going to try and come up with a solution here in the next 24 hours because we somehow are expecting things to change every night. I don’t know if they’re looking for fairness or what the hell they expect is going to happen on the ice, but we’ve seen it enough. You can’t take the penalties that we took. You just can’t. You can b*itch about the calls all you want, but if you’re sitting there expecting consistency or quality, you’re not coming to any of the games we play. We took those penalties. Ehlers dove on his... we got the call, that’s the call. If you expect them to go the other way then you haven’t been in the league long enough and we can’t figure that out. "We took the penalties. We lost the game. We were far better than they were for most of the night. That’s the National Hockey League. That’s probably enough for you, you guys can chew on that for a couple of days." Goalie Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Excuses by Maurice. Sorry but that's what it is. Time for some accountability and it starts with the coaches
Goalie Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 The leaders on the team.... Buff Ladd Stuart Thorburn are all repeat offenders in the dumb penalty dept. Can't find the tweet but all 4 lead the team in penalties. Believe it or not but buff has taken the most.... when your apparent leaders keep taking penalties with no consequences.... this is what happens. Time to back up the dump truck and remove some Atlanta trash
Floyd Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Just terrible game by Ladd, Stuart, Buff ... Buff and Tromba's corsi will level out pretty quick - Lawless as usual jumped the gun, they are not an elite pairing Waiting for Hamonic.
The Unknown Poster Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 In a way I don't want Helle to stand on his head every night and make Chevy think this team is better than it is. Jets management relies on hope and good wishes and fairy dust too much.

Jets management relies on hope and good wishes and fairy dust too much. I think they do realize that the team isn't as good as they maybe thought. Reality I think I'd without helle... we probably don't beat Pitt or Detroit or really... any of our recent wins except maybe the ranger game where they actually scored a bunch
Ducky Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) If Helle started with the Jets and played as well as he has so far, we'd be in a playoff spot. Edited January 2, 2016 by Ducky
Goalie Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) I doubt it. Our PP and PK would still suck. The goalies aren't taking stupid penalties constantly. It's not a goalie problem... it's a discipline problem Edited January 2, 2016 by Goalie
Floyd Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 Teams do play differently with a hot goaltender... Helle would have won 3-4 more games for the Jets this year for sure, that's probably difference for playoff spot
