Pavs is out of position because he plays too far out of the net.....840 sv%?????? who is going to trade for him? Sometimes teams think they know how to fix players. Hopefully someone sees Pavs and thinks it's the jets that are hurting him and not the other way around
Goalie Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I heard the Calgary scouts left after the 3rd goal. Jk. Pav for just about anything. Pav for a cap dump.
bustamente Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 Pavs next stop is the KHL Goalie 1
Goalie Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 He takes no responsibility either. He actually blamed the PK. Has the guy ever said he needs to be better? Nope. He's awful Ducky 1

Ducky Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I have never heard him say, "I should have been better or I need to be better", never. I thought it was better to keep him around in case Helle ran into trouble but I'd rather have Hutch as the backup and Pavs gone. 3.9m is a lot to pay for someone that gives you the goaltending that he does. We can get that from Hutch. Trade him for Hiller now!
bustamente Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 Again if Pavelec is here next year and yes i know he is signed he will be the starting goalie because of salary only and we will be in the bottom 5 again.
Goalie Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I think pav is done here. I don't expect him back next year. I think they buy him out If nobody wants him
The Unknown Poster Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 What's the point of buying out one year
Ducky Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 It would cost 3.17m to buy him out. It would also add $1,583,333.00 to the 2017-2018 cap. kelownabomberfan 1

Ducky Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 It is the same as giving away his contract for free. Why not do it?

Brandon Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I would think another team would offer a late draft pick for some veteran insurance at goalie....

Floyd Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 There is no purpose trading for Hiller... let Pav play the season, maybe someone wants him in on draft day or at trade deadline next year

Don't think the jets are in the business of burning money. How does tading Pavs for Hiller cost you money? It would cost about 62,500.00 more this year and 3.9m less on cap hit and 4.75m actual salary next year.

FrostyWinnipeg Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Yeah Jets won tonight but you know what? So did Toronto, Columbus & Vanc. Cal lost but in OT EDM lost...again. McJesus needs to pull more fish out of his bag as EDM has the #1 pick. WTF! Edited February 26, 2016 by FrostyWinnipeg The Unknown Poster 1
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) What it costs to buy him out is irrelevant. The jets aren't a cap team and won't be for a few years still. Listen to Dreger. Jets aren't a cap team. Buying out Pav is good because it gets him off the team Nobody will trade for him cuz he sucks. Edited February 26, 2016 by Goalie
FrostyWinnipeg Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) Jets bottom 4 now. Funny how we good at this! Edited February 27, 2016 by FrostyWinnipeg
Ducky Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 3rd last which is where they will finish, give or take a spot. Going to be hard to outdo TO here.
Goalie Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 TO are atually tanking. Not sure the lottery gods like that I do have this odd feeling that we will win the draft lottery and get Matthews tho. I think it happens FrostyWinnipeg 1
