Arnold_Palmer Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Great signing. Huge upgrade on Moore. A lot of good free agent receivers. Hope we're not done yet.

I hope he can regain his previous form and be a star again. We're paying him less than we were paying Moore....and we're getting a clear upgrade at the position. I see this as SAVING money on an upgrade,..... MinisterOfD5, SPuDS, Mr. Perfect and 3 others 6
AtlanticRiderFan Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Great signing, guys. Hope he bodes well for you. Best of luck to Weston and the Bombers in the future. Stickem, johnzo, Jimmy Pop and 3 others 6

bearpants Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 good news... great receiver and a good guy to have in the locker room...
Mr. Perfect Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Makes all the whining about what was taking so long rather comical. Just relax and sit back and let the process play out. Fully agree with Noeller's comments. It's a big upgrade over Nick Moore despite his age for around the same money. Familiarity with Willy and Lapo is a definite plus as well.

Brandon Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Huge signing and imagine if he has a monster season and how sad the Green fans will be seeing a tonne of Blue and Gold Dressler jerseys?? I have no concern about his size (doesn't his track record prove this?) , his age isn't a factor, heck he doesn't even need familiarity with our coach and qb.... the guy simply gets open and makes the plays. Great signing.
Noeller Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 One other thing I'd forgotten about Dressler is that he's a solid returner, too....that could help. voodoochylde, MOBomberFan, comedygeek and 2 others 5
Taynted_Fayth Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 I like the price too, really makes you wonder what the holy messiah chris jones offered him n chick. Mark F and SPuDS 2
IC Khari Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Riders downgraded with Lemon and Price replacing Chick and Dressler. We've been there far too many times in the last few years (Labatte?). THis thing could temporarily implode on them but Jones has a track record and the arrogance to carry on with his plan. I just hope we can protect Willy this year.
Stickem Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 It's going to be a lot of fun watching Lapo and Dress working on schemes together and finally getting some respect for our receiving corps from the opposition...Make a mistake covering this guy and it's .. bye bye see you in the end zone.
Mr Dee Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 A year or so ago, we announced the signing of Int. prospect OT Zebrie Sanders. This year we announce the signing of Int. proven rec. Weston Dressler. I like this signing a whole lot more. Dressler, and his salary, replaces Moore, and his salary. Dressler has proven that he is a clear upgrade at the receiving position. A solid acquisition, with no effect on the SMS. This scenario is probably the best that we could hope for in the manner it unfolded. The release of Dressler in plenty of time to reorganize the receiving corps. We now will hit the FA period in a better position to approach other targeted personnel without the distraction of worrying about addressing Dressler. So, thank you for that Mr Jones..

rebusrankin Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 This is excellent news. Talent upgrade and less than we paid Moore.
M.O.A.B. Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 need to sign Andrew Harris... to complete the triangle offense... LOL SB Dressler --- SB Denmark RB Harris Mark F, IC Khari and rebusrankin 3

Taynted_Fayth Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 On cjob? Id like to listen to the walters one more, I think dresslers tweet said it all for him
M.O.A.B. Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Dressler signing knock off two people on our FA list... Moore and Washington.
pigseye Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 lol, just checked and this announcement was only 6 days after the tweet saying he was close to signing. How come it seemed longer? I like the move, a couple more of this magnitude and I might be optimistic for the upcoming season for a change.
Blueandgold Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Having Dressler is a big improvement over Nick Moore, if for no other reason than he can stay on the field. Now, as big of a fan as I am of Ryan Smith I don't think I like the idea of him and Dressler playing together, but It's looking like something we should be getting used to. If we keep Denmark around we're going to have one tiny receiving core.
