Why not protect him with better talent.
johnzo Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) Harris and Shologan will relieve some of the pressure to somehow field national OL. We could have 2 national OL starters along with 2 WR, 1 RB, 2 DL. Or maybe we add an extra national like Bucknor or Waggoner on D and roll out four import receivers? bustamente Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) Our place kicking and punt have let us down the last few years something needed to be done, no way 300k for Laurent not by the Bombers anyways,Andrew Harris will help big time Shologan plugs the middle Canadian depth, so far so good Edited February 9, 2016 by bustamente

Not the same situation: Wily is South of 30 with many years ahead of him as franchise QB. Burris is north of Methuselah's age, probably in his final year for Harris to Transition into Franchise QB. So no, "Desjardin schooling Walters again" is a silly thing to say. blitzmore, SPuDS, Bigblue204 and 1 other 4
johnzo Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 We say this about Hank every year, but I think this is the year that age will finally catch up with him, 2005 Damon Allen style.

Stickem Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 IF Smith can stay healthy,he's a little gem....Dressler,Denmark,Smith....heh heh...good luck to the opposition trying to track those little buggers...Gonna be fun to watch.
do or die Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 Still would like to plug in a BIG receiver somewhere.........but like the playmaking potential we have picked up
Mr Dee Posted February 9, 2016 Author Report Posted February 9, 2016 Wow, some teams are signing some great FAs. They will have improved by leaps. The Bombers? Some very good FA signings. Improvement? Leaps and bounds..

WBBFanWest Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 Have to say, I like what I've seen from today's signings. Top tier K/P, RB, 2nd tier DL, WR and a unknown RB. Now if the scouts can finally kick in and contribute a big receiver and o lineman, we might just have something to finally get excited about!

Key is keeping Willy healthy, and giving him a decent scheme to play in. Do that and everything else including wins will fall into place. Westy Sucks, WBBFanWest and Floyd 3

Fatty Liver Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 Thought Mitchell was a journalist. Is this for real? Scott Mitchell (@ScottMitchellPM) 2016-02-09, 12:42 PMGood luck, Kyle Walters & Co. Very few success stories trying to build teams this way. Just sayin’.

Mike Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 Seems like the current ratio breakdown will be 3 NI OL (Chungh, Goossen, Neufeld) along with RB (Harris), DE (Westerman), DT (Shologan), REC (Kohlert) and probably a third spot on defense. We'll continue starting 8 Canadians. TrueBlue 1

Yes, free agency signings are not the backbone of a successful program, but when the talent tank's gauge is reading empty, you do what you've got to do. blitzmore and BigBlueFanatic 2

Shologan is a second tier DL...??? He's a huge part of the reason Cappicotti had the success he did. Second only to Laurent imo. SPuDS 1
bearpants Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 just curious.... how much does Ryan Smith suck?... that is, according to Riderfans as of about 30 minutes ago... SPuDS 1
