Noeller Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 So for what it's worth, Oilers starter Cam Talbot is out with an illness (flu?) so AHL starter Laurent Brossoit gets the nod tonight...
The Unknown Poster Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Just now, Noeller said: So for what it's worth, Oilers starter Cam Talbot is out with an illness (flu?) so AHL starter Laurent Brossoit gets the nod tonight... Good. The jets will lose 6-5. At least it will be entertaining.
Floyd Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Still weird that Maurice split up Ehlers-Scheif-Perrault and Trouba-Buff... don't get it

IC Khari Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Nice road win despite the crappy shorty goal by the Oilers. Pavs looks like he's picked up where he left off late last season.
Floyd Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Curse you Pavelec!!! The Unknown Poster, Mark F and IC Khari 3
Goalie Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) Woo. Jets barely beat the worst team in the league. Pav was ok. Oilers maybe had 5 quality shots on goal. Listening to the announcers verbally jets off McDavid all night was annoying and him being stopped to lose the game was pretty nice. Cbc announcers were almost crying. Ducky Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 I haven't seen Stuart on the PK as much as usual...is this why the PK seems to have improved?

Goalie Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 No. It's never just 1 guy and stu did have pk time. They are just more aggressive. They played a passive box b4... now they play a more aggressive one.
Goalie Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Stu had 2 minutes and 3 seconds of pk time. Same as trouba
Ducky Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 That's a lot less than he used to get..........the less the better. Ship him out with Ladd.
IC Khari Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Trouba can't seem to stay on his feet lately ... not really making a point just an observation.
Ducky Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Supposedly really bad ice in Deadmonton last night...
HardCoreBlue Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 10 minutes ago, Ducky said: Supposedly really bad ice in Deadmonton last night... That's strange, Rexall is usually noted for the best ice in the league. I don't think it's the ice that ails Trouba of late.
Ducky Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 I almost started a thread on Trouba a couple of hours ago. I'm okay with giving him a two year bridge and seeing how he turns out. He doesn't hold a lot of leverage. Two year bridge for 3.75m and 4.25m. Same for Scheifele and then 1.9m and 2.1m for Lowry, 900k for Hutch and 2m per year for two years for Armia.
Blueballz Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) Armia is a keeper. Don't get all this criticism for the guy. Too high expectations for him at this point. Edited February 15, 2016 by Blueballz
Goalie Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 2 million for Lowry seems like a million 2 much.
IC Khari Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Armia is one of the brightest (potential) of the young ones IMO. He is big, fast and has a sick pair of hands. Just needs some seasoning. In a year or two we can laugh at Buffalo for sending him to us as a throw in for Kane ... Edited February 15, 2016 by IC Khari Blueballz 1
Blueballz Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Armia is playing like you'd expect a mid 1st rounder. He has skill and if you watch, you can see his potential. Just because he isn't lighting it up now does not mean he isn't good or won't be good. Good thing some posters on here aren't talent scouts.
