Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 That door is. He's just saying never say never but I'll say it for him.... NEVER
Ducky Posted February 26, 2016 Author Report Posted February 26, 2016 I can't see it happening. If they could have agreed on a deal, you would think it would have happened already. Hutch or Pavs or Staf or anyone else getting traded? I wonder where Dano starts? 4th line with Copp and ? or higher up the roster? Goalie 1
Ducky Posted February 26, 2016 Author Report Posted February 26, 2016 Chevy says Ladd had a 15 team list he could be traded to. Things heated up in the last 24-48 hours. He mentioned dealing with other GMs is like playing poker and there are a lot of other GMs kicking the tires. I think Chevy did a good job with what he had to deal with and brought back what he thought was the best deal.
Blueballz Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Not disappointing with what we got back...not overly thrilled either. Someone tell Armia we are in full "tank" mode now...geez selfish guy
Noeller Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Good deal for both sides. I'm a Hawks fan too, so I'm stoked to see Ladder with Toews on the top line. He's gonna be HUGE for them with no letter, no responsibility, and just getting his game back now after the surgery. He'll be rejuvenated by the winning culture.
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Lw ehlers Connor Perreault RW wheeler Armia Dano That's got sick potential
Blueballz Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Hope to see Ladd raise the Cup this year. Always cheer for the 'Hawks but now going all out when playoffs start. Noeller, The Unknown Poster and Ducky 3
The Unknown Poster Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Emotional Maurice after the game. Also seemed very proud talking about his young guys.
Floyd Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Callers just skewering the trade... no one seems to comprehend that we might still be able to sign Ladd Chevy traded him to probably the best city in the league for Ladd and his family... and a team that can't afford to keep him FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 They won't resign him. They gave him their best offer and he refused and left. The idea they will sign him in the summer is truly crazy talk. He's gone. He ain't coming back. Ducky and The Unknown Poster 2

Yeah, I wouldn't sign him either... but you never know Scheifele sure sent a message tonight that he's ready to lead this team anyway... Ducky 1

Callers are angry? Goalie, Floyd and Brandon 3
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Those 1290 callers are drunk. They are dumb. They don't get it.
The Unknown Poster Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Most callers before the trade wanted Ladd gone. Most callers after the trade want ladd back. Goes to show that most people that actually pick up the phone to call into shows are morons. The smart people discuss hockey on forums not phone calls. BomberBall 1
Brandon Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 I guess they could of squeezed a bit more out of another team , I don't imagine they could of got that much more then what was offered.
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Nah. I think that was the best offer they got. Dano is an A + prospect.
Brandon Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 So any experts on here know what kind of ceiling that Dano may have?
Blueballz Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Dano probably going to be a top 6 forward. But damn...sooner or later we're going to need some size and grit, lest we become the Oilers 2.0
Goalie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) We have buff Wheeler. Size and grit is over rated. Chicago isn't huge. Neither are Dallas. It's how you play that matters. Edmonton ignored D. And have players who all play the same. They are skilled O players with no D ability. Jets players are all pretty responsible defensively well the kids are... Scheif Armia even ehlers all play pretty good in their own zone. Oilers players don't. Dano is solid defensively also. Dano has top 6 potential for sure. At worst he's a 40 point strong defensive 3rd line winger. His ceiling is Marian Hossa Edited February 26, 2016 by Goalie Jimmy Pop and The Unknown Poster 2

May not have the size although most stats seem to be outdated and he's bigger now. But it's said he plays into the corners and doesn't mind mixing it up. Floyd 1
Blueballz Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 I wouldn't say over rated but players who can go into the corners and take the hits are valuable. You need a good mix of both. Dano is probably more like a Bergeron type.
