Atomic Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I have a hard time seeing him coming back next season. What more does he have to prove? Why risk destroying your mind and body for one more season? Tough way for a legendary career to end, for sure, but I really don't think he'll be back.
iso_55 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 He can come off the 9 game IR at some point if he'd ready so we may see him again. I think he should retire after the season.
robynjt Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 http://www.cfl.ca/article/down-and-out-calvillo-placed-on-nine-game-injured-list With it being a head injury... I highly doubt we'll see him back next year And I completely missed the other thread on this. Woops.
NotoriousBIG Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Shoulda retired when Trestman left. Had nothing to prove and instead came back for a decidedly poor year. I think he's done. Can you say Hall of Fame Slam Dunk?

iso_55 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Yeah, I think he came back for the stats.... That seldom works. Also, he didn't provide a lot of leadership from the qb position for a guy with 20 years experience which was a disappointment.
braddman19 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I really hope he walks away. He has nothing more to prove. Keep your head on, retire, do what is best for your family and your health. OldSchoolBlue 1
TBURGESS Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Montreal has looked better without AC than they did with him. I'd guess we have already seen his last game. iso_55 1
Blueandgold Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Hes clearly finished, but I wouldn't rule him out of making a late season or ESF appearance.
Brandon Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 I wonder if Montreal will bring back McPherson.....
SPuDS Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 I wonder if Montreal will bring back McPherson..... id doubt it.... i think that ship has sailed, unless neg listers don't work out..
kelownabomberfan Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 They cut Porter at the start of the season. Maybe they bring him back?
iso_55 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Sad way to end a career I hate to sound callous but that's what happens when an older player doesn't leave the game when he should on his own terms. Now things other things are affecting his ability to play the game & will ultimately push him off the field. Ben Cahoon walked away on top. AC could have done so too after his last Grey Cup victory. This is a story that happens far too often in pro sports.

Valderan_CA Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Guys... I think we could trade for him real cheap now... we need a QB right?
