The Unknown Poster Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 This guy is a hell of a hero https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/22/us/waffle-house-shooting-hero-tennessee/index.html Has Trump not uttered one word about this? In an unrelated note, the hero is black and the guy with the AR-15 killing people is white. Mark F 1

The Unknown Poster Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 True face of heroism. Has trumped acknowledged this unarmed black man who stopped a white shooter with an assault rifle yet?

(http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/south-korea-north-friday-summit-1.4636110) N Korea won't dismantle their nuclear weapons. so says Quote Evans J.R. Revere is senior director with the Albright Stonebridge Group, providing strategic advice to clients with a specific focus on Korea, China and Japan. From 2007-2010, Revere served as president and CEO of The Korea Society. Fluent in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, Revere retired from the Foreign Service in 2007 after a distinguished career as one of the U.S. Department of State's top Asia experts he writes: Quote President Trump agreed to the summit on a whim, surprising his advisers and the South Korean envoys who conveyed Kim Jong-un’s invitation. Had he discussed the invitation with his advisers first, he would have heard that Kim’s reported interest in a deal on “denuclearization of the whole Korean Peninsula” is nothing of the kind. Those who have negotiated nuclear matters with Pyongyang know that Kim’s words were a familiar North Korean demand to end the “threat” posed by the U.S.-South Korea alliance, the presence of U.S. troops in Korea, and the nuclear umbrella that defends South Korea and Japan. Even though he knows nothing about the matter, Trump thinks he knows better. No need for any advice from anyone. And..... America can't be trusted not to break treaties. Iran. Libya. Paris accord. Nafta. Pacific trade agreement. Why would anyone trust them? Their signature means nothing.
Mark F Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) Gadhafi (?) had a nuclear weapons program. He made a deal with US to give it up. Remember he was a "good guy" for about a week? photo ops with Tony Blair, Condoleeza Rice? Pretty sure Kim knows about that case, and saw pictures ofGadhafi being executed on the street by a mob. and Hillary boasting "we came, we saw, he died" He'd have to be as stupid as Trump to give up nuclear weapons. I know, I'm Debbie Downer. Edited April 27, 2018 by Mark F

Mark F Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) Ford today announced it will phase out most cars it sells in North America. According to its latest financial release, the auto giant “will transition to two vehicles” — the Mustang and an unannounced vehicle, the Focus Active, being the only traditional cars it sells in the region. Ford sees 90 percent of its North America portfolio in trucks, utilities and commercial vehicles. Citing a reduction in consumer demand and product profitability, Ford is in turn not investing in the next generation of sedans. The Taurus is no more. https://techcrunch.com/2018/04/25/ford-to-stop-selling-every-car-in-north-america-but-the-mustang-and-focus-active/ Edited April 30, 2018 by Mark F
Brandon Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 What I assume is that Ford is throwing in the towel and can't compete with the imports for the sedan market. With the rising gas prices will people keep going forward with Trucks and SUVS? Mark F 1
The Unknown Poster Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 The years long defense and celebration of Polanski by Hollywood has been disgusting . Glad to see it’s finally changing.

Once Trump scraps the emissions standards and rolls back the fuel efficiency targets to pre-1974 we'll be able to stretch out our legs once again in one of these beauties. The Unknown Poster Posted May 8, 2018 Report Posted May 8, 2018 I think the small and mid-size SUV market will be fine. They are pretty good on gas and people want the extra room and options. Trucks appeal to truck people and I dont think too many truck people will suddenly switch to a prius because of gas. I replaced my V8 Grand Cherokee with a Cherokee Trailhawk, one of the reasons for the decrease in size being gas. But I wouldnt go any smaller.
