The Unknown Poster Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) This sure escalated quickly from "hahah crackwhore" to the current Cruiserweight champion being fired. It could mean WWE is aware of this being more serious than an unsubstantiated allegation and want to get in front of the story now. Or, more likely, WWE is pissed they were blindsided (assuming the cops would question Enzo some weeks ago and he never alerted WWE). Or just the latest in a series of annoyances and they decided to wash their hands, but thats unusual in these cases where WWE usually only suspends until charges are filed. The Unknown Poster Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Looks like my second hypothesis might be correct:

Ill find out. Im not much of an archive watcher myself although I will watch some of the older shows when they air on the live feed (maybe just a convenience thing). When it initially launched I know the Canadian archives were smaller than the US but Im not sure if there was a specific order to it or just "smaller" in general. For example, Im not sure if Rogers had *some* Nitro or if all Nitro was omitted. I think it was just a bandwidth thing because there shouldnt be content license issues with the old footage.
Rich Posted January 23, 2018 Author Report Posted January 23, 2018 Lets keep the discussion in here on the topic of Wrestling and not on the topic of other posters. Thanks.
SPuDS Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 10 minutes ago, The Unknown Poster said: @SPuDS He was't playing Devil's Advocate at all. His first remark on the subject was to call the accuser a crackwhore. He then insinuated that her allegation lacked veracity because she is a cam girl. He also made factually incorrect remarks about her story (such as not knowing Enzo's name - point of clarification, she spelled his real name wrong, neither of which is relevant to the story because if you're attacked but dont know you're attackers name, its not proof you are lying). I wasn't defending the accuser at all. My very first post on the subject purposely left out details because, as I stated in that post, the story was so fresh and unconfirmed and I had no sense of whether it was legitimate or not. It was I who left open the possibility that the accuser was not being truthful. My post that you quoted was a response to an attack on me, drawing into the debate a third person who has absolutely nothing to do with the Enzo story and contains general insults. that person has done that before, hence my reply. So the two issues are, Goalie's personal offense over me being involved in wrestling (who knows why, seems like a crazy thing to get upset over) and secondly, the Enzo story. The bulk of my reply you quoted was responding to the senseless and silly attack against me. The part where I respond to the Enzo story, I specifically state that I have come to no conclusion at all. Keep in mind Goalie admitted he HAD come to a conclusion. So Im curious as to why you are lashing out at me for "defending the victim" rather then him for attacking the possible victim...? Further, nowhere do I denounce the accused. Please show me where. I repeatedly state I hope Enzo is innocent and have expressed my like for him as a character many times. Goalie flat out said he had come to a conclusion. All his posts were attacks on her. So you might not consider "attacking a victim" to be "victim shaming", but most people would. Its textbook. Calling her a crackwhore, pointing out she does cam shows. So what? Has goalie never watched porn? My posts on the subject contained actual facts and reasoned opinions. Im quite confused as to why you'd characterize my post the way you do. In this day, if someone's immediate response to a serious allegation is "crackwhore", "camshow", "how can she remember" etc etc, thats a sad commentary on the moral character of that person. Whether she'd make a lousy witness on the stand or if her credibility could be questioned are secondary to whether the alleged crime took place. Goalie wasnt making a nuanced argument at all. But if you read what I actually wrote from POST ONE about the subject, I was. His points were akin to "yeah but what was she wearing." We're well beyond that sort of nonsense in regards to sex assaults now. you're right.. I should have commented on Goalie assuming blame. My apologies but (so far) the stories about her checkered past seem more plausible then the he/he/she said, she said angle coming from Enzo's camp. and ya, my bad on the denoucing of enzo, for some reason I mistook what you were saying as implication of guilt. I assumed and we know what that does. I didn't take what Goalie was saying in the same context as yourself then I suppose. I think he was using it metaphorically, not so much "shes a crackhead camwhore" more so using it for a reference to her career/history/personality.. I didn't see it as "she can't be accusing him of rape because shes a crackwhore cam girl" more so as "lookit that crackhead".. more slangy/jargon then direct implication.. *shrug* and I chose to characterize your post thusly because it seems like you want to overlook the girls history and concerning conduct in the past and not let it lend any credence to the fact that this could be made up. I mean she admits to using a lie to try and manipulate an ex-boyfriend... saying she was carrying his child... that is pretty dastardly.. you say you are not picking a side in this story but I kinda think you are.. your history here is kind of telling, not that its a bad thing in anyway, shape or form. I appreciate that Spuds. Perhaps Im being sensitive to the accuser. Some people jump to attacking the accuser too quickly. By no means have I made a decision as to who's telling the truth. I have no idea. Her lifestyle would impact her credibility on the witness stand. But ofcourse, it has no bearing on whether she'd be a rape victim. In fact some lifestyles might create a greater risk of assault than others. I was merely objecting to the immediate attack on her. In both cases, we (myself and other posters here) dont know either Enzo or the accuser. And yet the accuser was attacked...nothing said about Enzo and his questionable choice in friends. To be clear, I HOPE Enzo is innocent. When I made the original post, the reason I didnt link any thing or add details was because on its surface it read like a random "crazy" accusation. Only as the day went on did more come out that made it clear there was some substance to the story (as far as seriousness, not necessarily veracity). It speaks to us as individuals, in my opinion, when our instinct is not to take care of accusers and be sensitive to them. because if someone lies, we can call them names later. If they are truly a victim of a horrible act, we cant "take back" ripping them. I think thats the point of the idea that accusers should be heard. Im a big Enzo fan. I dont want him to be fired or jailed or whatever. So I hope he is exonerated because the alternative is aweful for everyone, especially the victim. I apologize if that didnt come across earlier. The Unknown Poster Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Huge ratings for RAW last night: The three hours were: 8 p.m. 4.80 million viewers 9 p.m. 4.64 million viewers 10 p.m. 4.15 million viewers Most watched program on Cable. Best number for RAW in years and probably will be their best number all year. And to think, they did almost nothing with it! This shows there are a lot of lapsed fans that can still be reached when something interesting happens. How they convert those fans into weekly watchers is the big question.

They should have showcased some really big matches. Roman vs Miz was a good move but man it would have been nice to see AJ wrestle. Ideally you do something with some current wrestlers that makes a casual fan say "Wow why am I not watching this anymore?" The Unknown Poster 1

And coming off the opening segment, which was great, with that loooooong women's match was a bad idea. I love the women, I want them featured. But thats not where I would have put it nor the match nor the length. It was the day they should have embraced "crash" TV and done quicker segments, quicker matches and show case the best they have,. AND run some angles to make those fans want to tune in next week. I know its hard with it being RR this weekend, but good writing finds a way. All that show told old fans was "nothing to see here, move along" Atomic 1
Atomic Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Stone Cold segment was awesome, everything else with the legends was just "Hey remember this?" Woulda been nice if a legend came back and announced they were wrestling again, or announced they were in the Rumble, or if a last-minute Rumble angle was set up. Like you say, something to get people invested in watching again. The Unknown Poster 1

I’m not sure what they were working on.

Have only 1 show which would be Raw. Get rid of Smackdown. Only the best performers wrestle from both shows wrestle. Improve the writing. Don't have anymore invasions from NXT.

You have the roster that competes on Raw & Smackdown. No brand extension. Then the roster not quite ready for prime time yet competing on a show like WWE All Stars or whatever that show used to be called. The ones on the bubble either drop down to NXT or the few that come up have to work hard to prove themselves. Not given prime time status like the women wrestlers have had with the NXT call ups... err... invaders. The Unknown Poster 1
The Unknown Poster Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 There is a YouTube video from a former friend of the accused. He’s appeared in her videos before So he does know her. He shows some text messages that he claims exonerate Enzo. I couldn’t really follow (and gave up listening to the kid). The claim is that the accuser left rehab and was in trouble with her father so came up with the rape story. Interestingly I read a story about false allegations today and while they are rare one of the leading causes is a girl in trouble with parents and makes up a story not intending it to go anywhere. Plot thickens. I’ve been told Enzo’s law firm is a really good one. Hopefully this does turn out to be a false allegations and Enzo can rebound (he made some very poor decisions) and the girl can get some help. I read that publicity can result in fast track lab results and quick decisions by DA’s. We shall see. SPuDS 1
The Unknown Poster Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 Chase Field in Phoenix will host Royal Rumble 2019. They expect 40,000 people.
The Unknown Poster Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 So any guesses as to who the 205Live GM will be? The only names I've heard (total speculation) is Goldust and Coach. Goldust because he's involved in the show already and Coach because of the big pop he got at RAW25 and I believe he's available. The fact they announced the GM thing after RAW makes people think its a new idea based on hiring someone at RAW. My own wish would be Eric Bischoff. He'd bring much needed star power to the show, is a tremendous performer and is probably available. But he'd likely be pricey for that role (unless its a deal whereby he gets to continue all his outside projects, he might see facetime in WWE as helping his brand). Bisch got a huge pop at RAW as well and has the WCW/Cruiserweight connection.

The Unknown Poster Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Rousey tells TMZ she will NOT be in the Rumble and wont be in the US as shes going to Columbia to finish shooting a film. IF she was a surprise, she couldnt say so anyway. She said she wont be back til mid February. Im not sure I believe her. Mid February...if she's to work the Rumble, that doesnt give her a ton of time. She also said she does not have a deal with WWE (Hunter said the same). We know she's been training at WWE facility so this seems a bit...it might technically be true but likely doesnt much matter. There will be fans expecting her on Sunday...
