March Madness is the only time I really follow any NCAA basketball but even then I don't follow closely until the sweet 16.  The only real exceptions are when there's a Canadian connection.

I might be mistaken but it seems like Basketball is getting more and more popular in recent years, especially in Canada.  I remember when basketball was all the rage when Jordan was running wild, there were tons of great movies coming out with basketball themes too.

but now with guys like Lebron and more recently Stephen Curry, the raptors being competitive last few years, a bunch of canadians being drafted high last few years like Wiggins, the all star game in toronto, seems like interest is picking up pretty steady

It's so hard to tell if a team is that dominant or their opponent is that weak with these brackets.  #1 vs #16 games are brutally lopsided. I watched the Kansas(1) vs Austin Peay(16) and currently watching North Carolina(1) vs Florida Gulf Coast University(16) and its just a beat down.  truth be told Ive never even heard of Austin Peay and FGCU lol
