If you take Posey and Fogg out of the picture, the defence overall was decent enough to win the game. The D-line did not get as much pressure on Glenn as they ought to have, considering how rebuilt they were, but Willy has become the problem.

It seems the team/city anointed Willy a bonafide starting QB a little too early. Ive never quite understood what the team saw in him apart from a fluky 5-1 start to his career as a "starting" QB when no one had film on him. Since then he's been either hurt or hot garbage. I honestly believe Willy won the lottery after the Bombers were spurned by Burris, Collaros, and maybe Reilly? They had no one else to hitch their wagon to other than Willy who showed some promise in spot duty behind Durant. Were paying him $400K for this? I know its game 1 in 2016 but he looked like a freakin' rookie out there. It was painful to watch. Happy feet, atleast 4 brutal overthrows on open receivers, no pocket presence or awareness, and seemingly oblivious to obvious all out blitzes.

A couple more games like this and the Bombers may have to admit a huge mistake.

I think Willy was a case of the Bombers brass feeling the heat after so many loosing seasons and brutal QB play by the seemingly never ending parade of garbage coming through town. I think they threw a dart at Willy, crossed their fingers, and hoped for the best. So far theyve missed the board completely.

So 17 to 85 and all those guys arguing 2 years ago that paying him 400 k per year and cutting him if he isn't worth it what do u think now?

fast forward 9 games and if we still are getting the same **** from willy and the bombers what do u do?  Cut him and let some one else sign him?  Run with Nichols, Daniels and Bennett?    That worse but willy at this moment is worth backup money

The positives

OL looked pretty good.  Harris is great at everything.

Randle's still got it.  Medlock is a huge signing.

McDuffie looked good... but so did Stoudemire... and Washington... and Perry Floyd...  poor Perry Floyd

The not positives

Willy looks finished.

Oshea looks finished.

Glenn defeated our pass rush.  Easily.

Richie Hall still calling soft zone D...  bending aaaannnddd eventually breaking.

Osh, Lapo, Hall and Buck = great coaching staff for 1996.

Bass was surprisingly not great at MLB.

Panic button officially pressed.

You gotta start questioning coaching/development.  A guy like Neufeld had to be dropped before last season.  Play Americans if you have to.  Would you rather have what's happening tonight or have an extra Canadian on D, another one at receiver and have a OL that can actually do it's job?

Is management capable of finding a a few good international offensive lineman.

Bombers need a top-down clean out. It has to start with a new structure other than the BOD that can appoint a management and coaching staff that is something other than the rampant cronyism that has plagued the organization for the past 25 years.

That is unlikely to happen any time soon, so they will be lucky to win more than 3 games this season. You can count on another 5 or 6 years of rebuilding again after that.

the worst 400 yards of offense in football history.

Cant believe we finished with 400+ yards in that s**t show. Seeing that would make people believe this game was close. Mind you Montreal might have had close to 600 if not for some iffy/ill-timed penalties.

If the Bomber fail to make the playoffs, they will probably fire O'Shea and Walters and promote Lapo "righting a wrong" from 4 years ago when he was fired by Joe Mack.  I doubt they fire the person who hired Walters and himself after doing an "extensive search" for the right candidates.
