Tracker Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 It seems to me that Willy and probably O'Shea have until Labour Day- the CFL collective agreement states that if veterans are kept on after then and released afterwards, they get paid to the end of the season. Thus, if Willy cannot improve a lot and loses the confidence of the coaches, he ought to be canned before we have to shell out some $200,000 for a player who cannot benefit the team. It seems to me that O'Shea has put all his eggs in one basket. Floyd 1

Floyd Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 I believe releasing your starting quarterback mid-season would classify as 'total embarrassment'... just can't see it happening

You have to concede two playoff spots in the west to Calgary and Edmonton, with BC very much a dark horse. Of all the GM/coach combos among the Lions, Riders and Bombers, Wally has the most experience and record to push his team into the third playoff spot. This leaves the Riders and Bombers outside looking in, and not being in a position to compete for a playoffs spot yet again will doom O'Shea. He's a good guy who came in with a lot of goodwill, but he (and Willy) just have not done the job.
Floyd Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Not gonna lie, slightly depressing to see Rick Campbell, Mark Nelson and Bob Dyce working together for Ottawa... Such a shame Nelson had Kelly-stink on him after 09 johnzo and Fred C Dobbs 2

Willy is in same boat, however he could be back depending on his stats. Willy had some garbage time stats yesterday, he wasn't good when it mattered
iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Man, Harris looks absolutely outstanding. And Ottawa is going to bench him & play Hank next game. Mistake.
iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Hank would pout like a two year old if he lost his starting qb spot. He talks a great game but it's all about Hank.
Floyd Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 These teams are fkn entertaining... TBURGESS 1

iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 37-34 Esks with 54 seconds left. This is entertaining. Floyd 1
iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Ottawa in its third year of existence looks light years better than us..

iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 (edited) The sad thing is that even if we played over our heads we couldn't play up to this level. Not. A. Chance. Tied at 37 going to OT. Edited June 26, 2016 by iso_55
Ripper Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Just now, Floyd said: Milo. Seriously. LOVE THE CFL That bum couldn't kick a 30 yarder when he played for us. LOL. I'm glad he made that one Floyd 1
iso_55 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Hank who??? Harris has to be the CFL Player Of The Week... What a game he's had. I'm extremely jealous. You have to wonder what Argo fans are thinking right now.
Floyd Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 What argo fans are thinking...? We decided to extend Nichols instead of go after Harris.
