Ducky Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 If you're talking two years, Stanley won't be on the Jets yet and Poolman isn't even signed yet...would like to see Kostalek make the team by the 2018-2019 season.
Goalie Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) 2 more years of junior plus a year in the ahl is the plan for Stanley according to the scouts. Just like Morrissey who will be a Jet this year. Poolman will sign when his seasons up. Both him and his agent have said as much. Kostalek was pretty bad this year with the moose. Doubt that you see him with the jets anytime soon if ever. Bet Stanley makes the jets b4 Kostalek does. Kostalek might get a call up or 2 but he's not close to bring nhl ready. Not close at all. He's actually a long shot to make it much like poolman but I think when poolman signs he gets a few games with the jets b4 Kostalek does Edited June 27, 2016 by Goalie

Goalie Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Yup. But he's from north Dakota and will sign with the Jets. Only reason he stayed was because he wanted to play with his younger brother. Once in a lifetime stuff there
Ducky Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 If he is a free agent this August, I think he will wait to see what free agency offers. Philips becomes an UFA this August doesn't he?
Goalie Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 You know like 1 in 50 college players do that. Poolman doesn't sound like he's that guy. Bet he signs with the jets when his season is up.
Noeller Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 have been hearing this Logan Stanley is a big, slow plug....like "Poor Man's Hal Gill" kinda thing. Hoping that doesn't turn out to be true...

Goalie Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 He's more like tyler myers in his draft year. Strong agile good in the D zone but still kind of growing in to his body. More myers than gill I'd say. Similar numbers to Myers also. He is 3 years away Noeller and bustamente 2

Jpan85 Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 You think there would be more of a comparison to Chara. Who took 5-6 years to really come into his own. IC Khari 1
The Unknown Poster Posted June 27, 2016 Author Report Posted June 27, 2016 Lawless explaining that jets scouts were super high on Logan. So they really really wanted him. I'll trust them and assume he has a shot a being something one day kelownabomberfan 1
FrostyWinnipeg Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Wonder if they wanted Jacob Chychrun more so.
IC Khari Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 I know one Jet prospect who's happy with Logan being drafted

Lots of people feel Chychrun has actually reached his ceiling already. Like he is what he is basically and there isn't much room for much more growth to his game. I think jets wanted Stanley more
The Unknown Poster Posted June 28, 2016 Author Report Posted June 28, 2016 Lawless said the head scout said going in that should the jets come out with Laine and Stanley then it was a great draft for them. So they very much wanted him. Time will tell but based on their desire I'll embrace the decision. They got the guy they wanted. Goalie and kelownabomberfan 2

The fact they traded up to get him shows how badly they wanted Stanley. They could have traded up to get Chycrun but I think Stanley was their guy. Now if Chevy had worked out a deal with Edmonton to grab Poolparty at 4th overall I would have just about exploded...especially if it had involved in anyway the jettisoning of Enstrom and Burmistrov...

And Stafford...don't forget Stafford! I don't think EDM would have traded that pick for anyone who has not been nominated or won the Norris the last couple of years. Trouba wouldn't even ring the phone, now PK on the other hand... Edited June 28, 2016 by FrostyWinnipeg
Ducky Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 I wouldn't trade Trouba for Puljujarvi. Who is PK? just askin... Goalie 1
